Common use of SENIORITY OF STEWARDS Clause in Contracts

SENIORITY OF STEWARDS. Notwithstanding their positions on the seniority list, stewards in the event of a layoff of any type shall be continued at work as long as there is a job in their department for which they qualify and shall be recalled to work in the event of a layoff on the first open job in their department for which they qualify.
