Seniority of Union Representatives in Case of Layoff. In the case of layoff, and for the sole purpose of maintaining Union representation, the Union Labor Xxxxxxx referred to in Article 1 of this Agreement, Assistant Business Agent, Union XXX Xxxxxxx referred to in Article 14 of this Agreement, Job Evaluation Xxxxxxx referred to in Article 14 of this Agreement, Workers’ Compensation Xxxxxxx referred to in Article 14, and EAP Coordinator referred to in Letter 22 of this Agreement shall during such xxxxxxx’x term of office, head the seniority list in their occupational group, in their xxxxxxx area, and on their shift, and will not be laid off until all other employees in their labor grade (or lower labor grade) in their occupational group, in their xxxxxxx area, and on their shift, have been laid off.

  • Visits by Union Representatives 9 The County agrees that accredited representatives of the American Federation of 10 State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, whether local Union representatives, 11 Staff Representatives, or International representatives, upon reasonable and proper 12 introduction, shall have reasonable access to the premises of the County at any time 13 during working hours to conduct Union business. The Union agrees that such visits will 14 cause no disruptions or interruptions of work.

  • List of Union Representatives The Union agrees to provide and maintain an up-to-date list of all Union Representatives (including Union Stewards, Union Executive, Grievance Committee, Labour/Management Committee and Negotiating Committee) to the Director of Human Resources or designate.

  • Union Representative Visits The Union shall inform the Employer in advance whenever the designated representatives of the Union intend to visit the Employer’s premises for the purpose of conducting Union business.   • UNION REPRESENTATIVE'S VISITS 30.01 Duly authorized full-time representatives of the Union shall be entitled to visit the Co-operative for the purpose of observing working conditions, interviewing members and unsigned employees and to ensure that the terms of the Collective Agreement are being implemented. 30.02 The interview of an employee by a Union Representative shall be permitted, after notifying the General Manager or their designated representative, and shall be: (a) carried on in a place within the Co-operative's premises designated by management; (b) held whenever possible during the lunch period; however, if this is not practical; (c) held during the regular working hours; time taken for such interview in excess of five (5) minutes shall not be on Co-operative time unless with the approval of management; (d) held at such times as will not interfere with service to the public.

  • Nurse Representatives & Grievance Committee (a) The Hospital agrees to recognize Association representatives to be elected or appointed from amongst nurses in the bargaining unit for the purpose of dealing with Association business as provided in this Collective Agreement. The number of representatives and the areas which they represent are set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions. (b) The Hospital will recognize a Grievance Committee, one of whom shall be chair. This committee shall operate and conduct itself in accordance with the provisions of the Collective Agreement and the number of nurses on the Grievance Committee is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions. (c) It is agreed that Union representatives and members of the Grievance Committee have their regular duties and responsibilities to perform for the Hospital and shall not leave their regular duties without first obtaining permission from their immediate supervisor. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. If, in the performance of their duties, a union representative or member of the Grievance Committee is required to enter a unit within the hospital in which they are not ordinarily employed they shall, immediately upon entering such unit, report their presence to the supervisor or nurse in charge, as the case may be. When resuming their regular duties and responsibilities, such representatives shall again report to their immediate supervisor. The Hospital agrees to pay for all time spent during their regular hours by such representatives hereunder.
