SENIORITY OF UNION REPRESENTATIVES. Notwithstanding their position on the seniority list, Chapter officers, chairperson, vice chairperson, chief xxxxxxx (with the exceptions of illness) in the event of lay-off of any type shall be continued at work as long as there is a job in their department which they can perform. Qualifications shall be determined jointly between the Union and the Employer.
SENIORITY OF UNION REPRESENTATIVES. A. Except as follows and as provided in Section 21 Overtime, there shall be no exceptions or special seniority provisions for Union officers. Full-time positions remaining in any classification other than their current one in which the employee has had prior year service or occupational series and be able to perform the duties and functions of the new job as determined by the Employer. B. The provisions of this Article shall apply only so long as Union Representatives engage in the representation and grievance adjustment functions set forth above. C. Should a Union Representative lose his/her Xxxxxxxxxx representation or grievance adjustment functions, they shall be subject to displacement by employees with greater seniority who have been laid off or demoted as a result of reductions in force made prior to the former representative’s loss of representation or grievance adjustment functions.

Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. The provisions of Article 15.4. shall also apply to the UPI Local Grievance Representative if he or she is an employee of the University.

  • Association Representatives Authorized representatives of the Association shall be permitted to transact Association business on and with school property at all reasonable times provided that such activities shall not interfere with normal school operations.
