Common use of Seniority Tie Breaker Clause in Contracts

Seniority Tie Breaker. Employees having the same bargaining unit seniority date will be placed on the seniority records based on the day of the month in which they are born (lowest number has highest seniority; highest number has lowest seniority). A second tie-breaker, if needed, will be based on the month of the year in which the employees are born (earlier month has higher seniority).
