Service and Emotional Support Animals. THE CARRIER only accepts dogs as service and emotional support animals specially trained to accompany handicapped persons. Service and emotional support animals are allowed inside the cabin without any kennel, provided that their masters keep them under control at all times. Service and emotional support animals must travel at the feet of their master and wearing their special harness. The Passenger must submit the respective certification that identifies his animal as a service or emotional support animal for cases of psychological special needs. On international flights the Passenger must submit the health certificate of the service animal issued by an appropriate authority and all the documents necessary to enter the transit and destination cities. Regulations for transportation of animals as cargo and Passenger cabin do not apply for transportation of service animals. Transportation of service and emotional support animals is free of charge to the Passenger. It is understood that said animals are trained to relieve their physiological needs at certain times and places. A Passenger traveling with a service or emotional support animal shall be seated preferably on the first row of Economy Class. Passengers traveling with service or emotional support animals may not be seated in the emergency exit rows.

THE CARRIER accepts the transportation of service dogs at all destinations. Emotional support dogs will be accepted only on routes where they are recognized by the country's regulations: to or from Brazil, Canada, Colombia and Mexico. Terms and Conditions for transportation: 1. The passenger must present the respective documentation established by THE CARRIER for the acceptance of the transportation of the service or emotional support dog. 2. The dog must remain with the passenger at all times. 3. The dog must sit on the floor, in front of assigned seat and cannot occupy space in the aisles. 4. If the dog is as small as an infant, it can go in passenger’s lap but not on the seats. 5. If the dog is too big to fit on passenger’s feet, THE CARRIER will try to reassign a seat with more space. If this is not possible, the passenger can purchase an extra seat to have additional space to accommodate the dog on the floor, in front or to the side of my seat, but not on the seat. 6. Passengers traveling with service or emotional support animals may not be seated in the emergency exit rows. 7. Boarding will be denied: a. If the dog has a bad smell, bad behavior such as: barking, growling, attacking other passengers or not being able to control its needs. b. If the dog does not comply with the required documentation of the country of origin and destination. The passenger is responsible for the costs corresponding to these changes. 8. The passenger is responsible for the care, well-being and behavior of my dog: a. The passenger is responsible for any physical harm or damage that it may cause to third parties during the trip, whether in THE CARRIER facilities and/or at the airport, as well as on board the aircraft. b. The passenger is responsible for the cleanliness, if the dog does its needs on board the aircraft, or at the airport, or in any area that is not a designated area for pets to do their needs.

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties.
