Common use of Shift Allowances Clause in Contracts

Shift Allowances. (a) In addition to any other rates prescribed elsewhere in this Agreement Employees whose rostered hours of ordinary duty finish between 6.00 pm and 8.00 am or commence between 6.00 pm and 6.30 am shall be paid an amount equal to 2 1/2 per cent of the rate of the Allowance Rate as prescribed in clause 38 of this Agreement per rostered period of duty per rostered period of duty. (b) Provided that in the case of an Employee working on any rostered hours of ordinary duty, finishing on the day after commencing duty or commencing after midnight and before 5.00 a.m. he or she shall be paid a night duty allowance as set out in Schedule 2. (c) Provided that this clause shall not apply to Employees above the level of RPN 5.

(c) Provided that this 75.3 This clause shall not apply to Employees above the level classification of RPN 55 excepting Employees classified as Nurse Practitioner who are entitled to the benefit of this clause.
