Sick Bank. The intent Sick Leave Bank was established to grant additional sick leave days for employees suffering a personal disabling injury or illness. A disabling injury or illness is one which results in a continuous condition under the care of a physician. A physician's statement as to the nature of the disabling injury or illness and an estimate of the duration of the absence shall be submitted with a request to use the Sick Leave Bank. Use of the Sick Leave Bank shall be administered according to the following provisions:
1. Days granted to an individual will come from a pool established by participating employees.
2. A participating employee becomes eligible only after s/he receives a full allotment of sick days at the beginning of the fiscal year.
3. An open enrollment period shall be established annually from June 1st to June 30th each year.
a. Each employee will donate two (2) days at the beginning of the fiscal year to become initially enrolled in the Sick Leave Bank. After the employee’s initial enrollment year employees shall donate one (1) day per year.
b. Employees shall remain a member of the sick leave bank shall be until such time as a written notice is received from the employee indicating that they wish to assist and aid bargaining unit members who experience unusual circumstances that cause a need for sick leave beyond that which they have earned or accrued. 17.2.2 5. The employee must exhaust all of his/her sick leave and personal days contributed by and all but five (5) vacation days prior to any Sick Bank days being used.
6. The maximum number of days any individual will be granted from the bargaining unit member bank, in one (1) fiscal year, is fifty (50) days.
7. The maximum number of days allowed to accumulate in the bank shall accrue from year to year to a not exceed four (4) times the total number of participating employees enrolled. If maximum is achieved at the beginning of 450 daysthe fiscal year, contributions will be postponed until the bank trustees deem it necessary.

Sick Bank. After two (2) full years of employment in the District, any teacher who has accumulated at least twenty (22) Sick Days shall be eligible to participate voluntarily in the “Sick Leave Bank.” The intent intention of the Sick Leave Bank is to provide extended sick leave to members of the bank who incur a period of prolonged illness, injury, or hospitalization. Any teacher who desires to participate in the Sick Leave Bank shall submit to the Union President a written notice of intent to participate on a union established form provided. Such notice shall be forwarded to the Administration by the Friday of the end of the first full week of school. To be a member of the Sick Bank, an employee shall contribute two (2) sick days per year for the first two (2) years of membership. Each succeeding year, an employee will contribute one (1) day per year until the bank accumulates approximately one thousand (1000) days. If the maximum number of days is reached before the beginning of a school year, donation days will be waived. If accumulated days drop below one thousand (1000), members will donate one

Sick Bank. 10.02.1 A contribution of one sick leave day per year shall be made by each new member of the bargaining unit to a sick leave bank. Should the number of days available in the sick bank fall below 45, an additional day will be deducted from each member’s available sick leave. In the case of surgery, the physician must certify that the surgery must be done at the present time to avoid a detrimental outcome.
6. The Sick Bank Committee shall determine whether or not to grant leave to employees under the sick bank drops to 325 daysleave, bargaining unit members will each contribute based upon the equivalent purpose of 2 sick such leave days per employment year until and its assessment that the bank again reaches the 450 days maximum.

17.2.5 Beginning (a) An employee may make application for use of sick leave under Paragraph 5.22 more than once in a single school year, provided that the employee otherwise meets the terms of Paragraph 5.22. This is true both for additional leave in connection with fiscal year 1991-92the same condition as the employee’s original use of such days or for a new condition.
(b) For an employee to make use of leave under Paragraph 5.22 a second time, if he/she must have exhausted any sick days earned between the Professional Administrators Association sick bank has less than three hundred twenty-five (325) days, then one hundred percent (100%) end of the sick first leave left and the start of the second leave.
(c) All such requests for additional leave, whether for the same condition as the first leave (either to use days approved but not used in the first leave, or to be granted new days) or for a different condition must be submitted for approval by employees who terminate will accrue the Association President and the Superintendent in accordance with Paragraph 5.22.
(d) The Association President shall report to the Professional Administrators Association sick bankDirector of Human Resources the number of days contributed and the names of the contributing employees for each leave approved under Paragraph 5.22 within the time frame established in the Superintendent’s approval of such leave. Sick Bank. The intent Board and Association have established a Sick Bank for non-teaching staff who need extended leaves due to personal illness. The Bank will be administered by the Association President and the Superintendent or their designees. The Bank will operate under the following guidelines:
1) Within thirty (30) days of the sick leave bank shall start of employment, the district will circulate to each new member a questionnaire as to whether or not they wish to join the Sick Bank.
2) No unit member will be authorized to assist and aid bargaining unit members who experience unusual circumstances that cause a need for sick leave beyond that which they have earned or accrueduse the Bank by late entry. The opening date will be the opening of the school year except as provided above.

17.2.3.2 Professional evidence of need shall support 11) The District will notify the claim.
17.2.3.3 Limitations on employee withdrawals may be made at the discretion of the Association President of the Association and number of sick days in the President Bank by the end of September in each school year.
12) Sick Bank Members will remain enrolled in the bank as long as employed by the district. Members, who no longer want to be part of the College up bank, need to a maximum of 130 working days or until the employee becomes eligible for the total disability plan, whichever is earlier.
17.2.4 The decisions of the President of the Association and the President of the College shall be neither grievable nor arbitrable; however, if they are unable to agree or make a decision, the employee may request expedited arbitration from a local dispute resolution center. The cost of the arbitration shall be shared equally by the College and the Association. The arbitrator shall be limited to granting no more than the number of days which would otherwise have been awarded as specified submit their desire in paragraph 17.2.3.3.
17.2.5 Beginning with fiscal year 1991-92, if the Professional Administrators Association sick bank has less than three hundred twenty-five (325) days, then one hundred percent (100%) of the sick leave left by employees who terminate will accrue writing to the Professional Administrators Superintendent and Association sick bank. Also, retiring employees who do not apply all unused sick leave to pay for health insurance (See Article 17.3) shall have their unused sick leave remaining added to the Professional Administrators Association sick bankPresident.
