Common use of Sick Leave Accruals Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave Accruals. Full time employees covered by this Article shall accrue sick leave at the rate of eight (8) hours per month or ninety-six (96) hours per year. Sick leave may be accumulated up to a maximum rollover of twelve hundred (1200) hours.

Full time Effective July 1, 2015, employees covered by this Article shall accrue one hour of paid sick leave at the rate of eight (8) for every 30 hours per month or ninety-six (96) hours per year. Sick leave may be accumulated actually worked, up to 3 days or 24 hours, whichever is greater, per 12 month period. Employees may carry over accrued sick days to the following year, with a maximum rollover cap of twelve hundred (1200) 6 days or 48 hours, whichever is greater. Accrued sick leave will be restored if an employee separates from the City but returns within 12 months.
