Common use of Sick Leave Conversion Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave Conversion. On January 1 of each year, an employee may convert up to a maximum of 30 hours accumulated sick leave at fifty percent (50%) cash value for the sole purpose of reimbursing the employee for medical costs. This conversion is subject to the following:

Sick Leave Conversion. On January 1 of each year, an employee may convert up to a maximum of 30 hours (for 40 hour employees) or 45 hours (for 56 hour employees) accumulated sick leave at fifty percent (50%) cash value for the sole purpose of reimbursing the employee for medical costscosts not otherwise covered by City PERS medical insurance, accrued during the prior calendar year. This conversion is subject to the following:

Each January, an employee employees may convert up to a maximum of 30 hours accumulated sick of total combined leave at fifty percent (50%) cash value balances to reimburse for eligible medical expenses under the same rules as the existing Sick Leave Conversion policy as long as the employee’s balance does not fall below 350 hours of total combined leave balances. These hours are not included as days/hours used for the sole purpose purposes of reimbursing annual cash out and do not count towards the employee for medical costs. This conversion is subject to the following:250 hours cash out limit per year.

This conversion is subject according to the followingfollowing ratios:
