Sick Leave During Leave of Absence and Lay Sample Clauses

Sick Leave During Leave of Absence and Lay off When an employee is given leave of absence for any reason up to thirty (30) work days, he/she shall receive sick leave credit for the period of such absence on his/her return to work. When an employee is laid off on account of lack of work, he/she shall not receive sick leave credits for the period of such absence but shall retain his/her cumulative credit, if any, existing at the time of such lay-off.

Sick Leave During Leave of Absence and Lay off When an employee is granted leave of absence without pay or receives lay-off, and such absence exceeds thirty-one (31) days, the employee shall maintain but not accrue sick leave credits.

  • Sick Leave During Vacation Where an employee qualifies for sick leave due to illness or injury during the period of vacation time, sick leave shall displace vacation leave. An illness or injury occurring while the employee is on scheduled vacation time shall not be accepted as a claim for sick leave benefits unless recuperation involves hospitalization or confinement to bed by order of a medical practitioner. Written medical verification of such illness or injury and hospitalization or confinement must be provided to the Employer in order for the employee to be eligible for sick leave benefits.

  • LEAVE OF ABSENCE With respect to the Award, the Company may, in its sole discretion, determine that if you are on leave of absence for any reason you will not be considered as having terminated employment with the Company; however, your rights to the Restricted Stock Units during a leave of absence will be limited to the extent to which those rights were earned or vested when the leave of absence began.
