Special Grievances. (a) A nurse may be suspended, disciplined or discharged only for just cause. Any grievance on these matters will be filed at Step #2 within ten (10) days of such occurrence. (b) When a meeting is to take place for the above purposes, a nurse will be informed prior to the meeting that this is the purpose of the meeting, and she may be accompanied by her nurse representative. (c) In the case of suspension and discharge, the Employer will inform the Local Association within twenty-four (24) hours of the suspension or discharge. (d) Special grievances may be settled by confirming the Employer's action, or by reinstating the nurse with full compensation for time lost or by any other arrangement which is just and equitable in the opinion of the conferring parties, or of the Board of Arbitration if the matter is submitted to arbitration.
