Specialisation. It is recognised that due to the scope and complexity of food legislation that it is not always necessary, feasible or practical that all Official Agency staff be fully trained in enforcement of all food legislation. The Official Agency may make arrangements where relevant and feasible to have in place subsets of Official Agency staff trained in specific areas of non-food hygiene legislation.

Specialisation. The Food Safety Laboratory Service shall agree and implement the specialisations within the Food Safety Laboratory Service. This shall be done having taken into account the sampling and analytical requirements of the Environmental Health Service and the Authority.
Specialisation. The candidates have to fulfil the conditions defined by the country offering the scholarship and have to submit the required documents. The provisions as well as the final date of the entry will be yearly communicated in the notice. The sending party shall nominate its candidates each year before April 1. The candidates are selected by the sending party. Each candidate is subject to the approval of the party offering the scholarship. Before July 1 the receiving party will inform the sending party whether the candidates and/or study programmes were approved. At least three (3) weeks in advance of the departure date of the candidates the party will provide, through diplomatic channels, precise information on the transport mode and the arrival of scholarship holders, who are supposed to be in Flanders at the latest on October 3 1. The candidates must be under 35 They can be accepted only on approval of both sides and on the basis of a file of which all the documents must be presented or translated in Dutch, French, German or English. The application contains at least a thoroughly filled out application document with a substantial motivation of the application; two (2) letters of recommendation of different professors or persons in the study or work circles of the candidate; a legalised copy of the obtained graduations mentioning the followed programme and the obtained results per subject and the title of the dissertation; an exhaustive curriculum vitae mentioning the knowledge of languages; a detailed working plan mentioning the name of the institute for higher education, where the candidate wants to stay possibly, a letter which the realised contacts; possibly, a list of published works; sound tapes, reproductions or slides of their works (maximum 5) for the candidates who wish to apply for a scholarship for studies in music or visual arts.
