Stage One. If the dispute or difference cannot be settled informally, either party may, within thirty calendar days of the incident, or if grievance mediation has been used, within 30 days of the date that the advisory opinion is furnished, present a formal written grievance to the other party. In unusual circumstances, where the grievor could not reasonably have been expected to have learned of the incident, these time requirements shall be waived. A grievance by the Faculty Association shall be forwarded to the Xxxx. A grievance by the College shall be forwarded to the Chair of the Faculty Association. The grievance shall:
Stage One. Should the Grievor not receive a satisfactory response from the relevant Xxxx, (or the administrative supervisor in the case of a Librarian or Counsellor) within ten working days after the initial consultation referred to above, the Faculty Association, upon the request and on behalf of the Grievor, may submit a written grievance to the Vice President Academic, or designate. The written grievance shall cite the factual background of the grievance, the provision(s) of the Agreement alleged to have been infringed upon or violated, and the remedy sought. The Grievor and/or the designated executive member of the Faculty Association shall attempt to settle the matter with the Vice President Academic or their designate. A written reply shall be given to the Grievor and to the Faculty Association within ten working days of receipt of the written grievance.

Stage One. An aggrieved employee shall first meet with their supervisor/principal to discuss the grievance. The meeting shall take place within ten (10) working days from the time when the issue arose. The aggrieved employee may request to have a xxxxxxx present.
