Starting Times, Shifts And Schedules. A – The Company may vary shift schedules, starting times and quitting times for different areas or operations of the plant or for individual employees. B – The normal workweek contains five (5) workdays (minimum of eight (8) consecutive hours) scheduled Monday through Sunday. However, the Company may vary or change the number of hours scheduled, the number of shifts scheduled, the staffing requirements of the various shifts and the scheduling of workdays and hours for business reasons or efficient operations. Employees will be scheduled to “eat-on- the-job”. In addition to a 1st rest period of 15 minutes (“coffee break”) and a “lunch” break, employees are allowed a 2nd rest period of 10 minutes to be taken between “lunch” and the end of their shift. Employees shall take their breaks at times which ensure that all production requirements are met, and management may direct the times of break when it considers necessary. Employees are always responsible and accountable for their shift duties up to the end of their shift or until they have handed those duties off to the process operator following them on the ensuing shift. In any case, employees are not to dismiss themselves from work or be in the process of leaving the premises until the completion of their shift, unless previously approved by a manager. C – Multiple shifts may be scheduled and may be rotated (for example: 7-3, 3-11 and 11-7. D – Prior to implementing a new shift schedule, the Company will notify the Union of the change. The Union will be given the opportunity to review and discuss the changes with the Company. The Company retains the sole right to vary shift schedules, starting times and quitting times.

However, the Company may vary or change the number of hours scheduled, the number of shifts scheduled, the manpower requirements of the various shifts and the scheduling of workdays and hours for business reasons or efficient operations. Employees may be scheduled to eat on the job or have a 30-minute unpaid lunch period. Any area of the terminal or portion of the employees may be scheduled in more than one way.

  • Clauses and Schedules Any reference in this Agreement to a Clause or a sub-clause or a Schedule is, unless otherwise stated, to a clause or a sub-clause hereof or a schedule hereto.

  • Unit Weekend Schedule A unit weekend schedule may be developed in order to meet the Hospital’s need for weekend staff, and individual nurses’ preference for a weekend work schedule. A unit weekend schedule is defined as a schedule in which a full-time nurse works a weekly average of thirty (30) hours and is paid for 37.5 hours at her or his regular straight time hourly rate. The schedule must include two 11.25 hour tours, which fall within a weekend period as determined by the Hospital and the Association. A nurse working a weekend schedule will work every weekend except as provided for in the provisions below. If the Hospital and the Association agree to a unit weekend schedule, the introduction of that schedule and the manner in which the position(s) are filled, shall be determined by the local parties and recorded in the Appendix of Local Provisions. This unit schedule may be discontinued by either party with notice as determined within the Appendix of Local Provisions. The opportunity for an individual nurse to discontinue this schedule shall be resolved by the local parties:

  • NOTICE TO PROCEED AND SCHEDULE The CONSULTANT shall begin the work to be performed under this Contract only upon receipt of the written notice to proceed from the LPA, and shall deliver the work to the LPA in accordance with the schedule contained in Appendix "C" which is herein attached to and made an integral part of this Contract.

  • Weekend Scheduling It is the policy of the Employer to schedule those nurses who so desire every other weekend off, with the exception of those nurses who have signed an authorization to work consecutive weekends. Nurses who have volunteered to work consecutive weekends may withdraw such authorization upon two (2) weeks’ written notice prior to the date a new schedule must be posted.

  • Priority of agreements, clauses and schedules 1.4.1 This Agreement, and all other agreements and documents forming part of or referred to in this Agreement are to be taken as mutually explanatory and, unless otherwise expressly provided elsewhere in this Agreement, the priority of this Agreement and other documents and agreements forming part hereof or referred to herein shall, in the event of any conflict between them, be in the following order:

  • Schedules and Exhibits All of the schedules and exhibits attached to this Agreement shall be deemed incorporated herein by reference.

  • Annexes, Appendices and Footnotes The annexes, appendices and footnotes to this Agreement constitute an integral part of this Agreement.

  • Hours of Work and Scheduling Provisions (b) In the event an Employee is scheduled to work on the evening or night Shift(s) on the day(s) or the night Shift commencing on the day(s) on which the Employee is called as a juror or witness in matters arising out of the Employee’s employment with the Employer, the Employee shall be granted a leave of absence for those scheduled Shift(s).
