Strike/Work Stoppage. During the term of this MOU, the Union, its members and representatives, agree that it and they will not engage in, authorize, sanction, or support any strike, slowdown, stoppage of work, sickout, or refusal to perform customary duties. In the case of a legally declared lawful strike against a private or public sector employer which has been sanctioned and approved by the labor body or council having jurisdiction, an employee who is in danger of physical harm shall not be required to cross the picket line, provided the employee advises his or her supervisor as soon as possible, and provided further that an employee may be required to cross a picket line where the performance of his or her duties is of an emergency nature and/or failure to perform such duties might cause or aggravate a danger to public health or safety.

Strike/Work Stoppage. During the term of this MOU, PDOCC, its members and representatives, agree that it and they will not engage in, authorize, sanction or support any strike, slowdown, stoppage of work, sickout or refusal to perform customary duties. Strike/Work Stoppage. The Union will take every reasonable means within their power to induce employees engaged in a strike, work stoppage, or slowdown in violation of this Agreement to return to work; but the Union, their officers or representatives shall not be held responsible for any strike, work stoppage, or slowdown which, the Union, their Officers or representatives shall have expressly forbidden or declared in violation thereof.
Strike/Work Stoppage. ‌ It is agreed and understood that there will be no strike, work stoppage, slow down or refusal to fully and faithfully perform job functions and responsibilities, or any interference with the operations of the City, or any concerted effort designated to improve its bargaining position which interferes with, impedes or impairs City operation by the Union or by its officers, agents or members. The Union agrees that neither the Union nor its officers, agents or members will in any manner whatsoever honor, assist or participate in any picketing activities, sanctions or other form or interference with City operations by any other non-Unit employees or members of other employee organizations or groups.

  • THE WORK The Work comprises the completed construction required by the Contract Documents and includes all labor necessary to produce such construction, and all materials and equipment incorporated or to be incorporated in such construction.

  • Work The definition of work, for overtime purposes only, includes: 1. All hours actually spent performing the duties of the assigned job, rounded to the next quarter hour; 2. Travel time required by the Employer during normal work hours from one work site to another or travel time prior to normal work hours to a different work location that is greater than the employee’s normal home-to-work travel time and all travel in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws; 3. Vacation leave; 4. Sick leave; 5. Compensatory time; 6. Holidays; and 7. Any other paid time not listed below.

  • Work of the Bargaining Unit (a) In order to protect the standard of nursing care, the Employer shall not contract out the work normally performed by members of this bargaining unit except: i) For purposes of instruction, ii) In the event of an emergency situation, iii) When performing developmental or experimental work, or iv) When employees are not available due to an employee not reporting for work as scheduled or not being available for work. (b) Reassignment to other employees of work normally performed by members of the bargaining unit shall not result in the termination, layoff or reduction in hours of any member of the bargaining unit. (c) When it is decided to not fill a position following an employee’s resignation, the Home will provide the rationale in writing for this decision to the Union. The Union may request a meeting to make representations on this matter.

  • Extra Work At any time during the Term of this Agreement, City may request that Consultant perform Extra Work. As used herein, “Extra Work” means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement. Consultant shall not perform, nor be compensated for, Extra Work without written authorization from City’s Representative.
