STRS Credit Sample Clauses

STRS Credit. The faculty member shall receive the STRS/PERS service credit that he/she would have received if he/she had continued as a full-time employee. The faculty member's STRS/PERS retirement allowance shall be based on the salary the said faculty member would have received if employed on a full-time basis. Therefore, the faculty member and employer shall both contribute to the State Teachers' Retirement Fund the amount each (separately) would have contributed if the faculty member had continued to work on a full-time basis.

STRS Credit. For the purpose of providing creditable service reporting to the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) as defined in Education Code Section 22138.5, the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) for part-time faculty must be identified in this collective bargaining agreement. The FTE is the time that a member of STRS who is employed part-time would be required to work in one school year if employed full time in that position. The following are the District’s minimum service standards for a year of service credit: 1,225 hours per school year for non-teaching counselors and librarians. 525 hours per school year for instructors with all lecture teaching assignments. 787.5 hours per school year for instructors with all lab teaching assignments. 875 hours per school year for instructors teaching adult education classes. If the District and the HCFA subsequently provide an office hour program that is mandatory for part-time instructors, and an instructor receives compensation for office hours pursuant to Article 10 (commencing with Section 87880) of Chapter 3 of Part 51 of Division 7 of Title 3, the minimum standard shall be increased appropriately by the number of office hours required annually for the class of employees.
STRS Credit. STRS Unit Members participating in the shared position will earn STRS credit based on the portion of the year which has been taught, in accordance with STRS statutes and regulations.

  • Vacation Credit Any outstanding vacation entitlement for a person going on LTD will be paid in cash upon expiry of sick leave. The cash payment will be calculated on the base earnings at the expiration of sick leave for the prorated days of vacation entitlement, any outstanding lieu days, any outstanding floating statutory holidays, and banked time for 40-hour per week employees. No vacation entitlement, floating holidays, or banked time for 40-hour per week employees accrues while a member is in receipt of LTD benefits.
