Submittal of Grievance. The written grievance shall be submitted on a form prescribed by the Director of Personnel for this purpose. At each level, the form must be completed fully, signed by the grievant and hand delivered or sent by U.S. mail to the designated reviewer's office with a copy being sent to the Personnel Office, also within the specified time limits.

Submittal of Grievance. The grievance shall be presented to the appropriate administrative level as determined in this Article. The grievance shall be in writing and served within twenty (20) calendar days after the occurrence of the alleged violation, or notice received of the administrative action or decision or if it concerns an alleged continuing violation, then it must be filed within twenty (20) calendar days after the alleged violation, misinterpretation or misapplication or administrative action first became known or should have become known to the grieving party.

  • Denial of Grievance Failure by the School Board or its representative to issue a decision within the time periods provided herein shall constitute a denial of the grievance and the employee may appeal it to the next level.

Presentation of an informal grievance shall be a prerequisite to the institution of a formal grievance.

  • Adjustment of Grievance The School Board and the employee will attempt to adjust all grievances which may arise during the course of employment of any employee within the School District in the following manner:

  • Policy Grievance – Union Grievance The Union may institute a grievance alleging a general misinterpretation or violation of this Agreement by the Employer by submitting a written grievance at Step No. 1 within twenty (20) days after the circumstances have occurred. This section shall not apply to disciplinary grievances or application of competitive clauses under this Agreement.
