Common use of Super Seniority Clause in Contracts

Super Seniority. Notwithstanding their position on the seniority list, the president of the bargaining unit, for the period for which they hold such office, shall be the last bargaining unit employee laid off and the first bargaining unit employee to be recalled, provided they are able to perform the required work. The Union agrees that this Section shall not be abused to avert potential layoff.
