Supervision of Internships. ‌ A. Any internship assignment must be approved by the administrative supervisor and the faculty member. B. Internship assignments are calculated within the semester workload.
Supervision of Internships. Supervision of internship, practicum, or work experience programs will be factored at five students to one contact, for the purposes of defining load. Students above or below a multiple of five will be rounded to the nearest whole contact hour. For example, if the student number is 18 for these courses, the instructor will receive four contacts toward load for the year. In calculating the number of preparations, internships will not be included. Directing independent study courses for students does not count towards load; faculty are paid a stipend for this work. See Article 33. The faculty, Academic Area Chairs, and Vice President for Educational Services will provide for establishment of minimum expectations to be fulfilled by those involved in these activities. Specific hours can be flexible and agreed-upon between the Librarian and the Librarian Supervisor, with approval of the appropriate Vice President. The position is a full-time position based on a (minimum) 40 hour workweek, 52 weeks per year. Librarians will accrue vacation at a rate of 6.16 hours per pay period (4 weeks paid vacation per year). Accumulation of Annual Leave will be capped at 320 hours.

  • Internships The Hospital may establish internships for the purpose of meeting future projected nursing shortages and/or providing career opportunities where there are no internal qualified candidates for job postings. In such circumstances, the implementation and guidelines of such an arrangement will be determined locally by the Hospital and the Union subject to the following: Internships are designed to develop the Hospital’s staff in order to fill positions for which there are currently no qualified internal candidates and/or for which shortages are predicted within a five (5) year period. Internships enable hospitals to maximize the use of qualified internal staff to meet their human resources needs, while at the same time providing career development opportunities for their employees. To provide direction to the local parties in developing and implementing internship(s) the Ontario Nurses’ Association and Participating Hospitals have agreed to the following principles: (a) The Hospital will establish the expectations for each internship opportunity; (b) There will be an open application process for internship opportunities; (c) The opportunities will be open to currently employed nurses who can demonstrate continuous learning, and a commitment to the Hospital; (d) Nurses who are selected for internship opportunities will commit to continued employment on a mutually determined basis; (e) Initiatives to support selected candidates may include but are not limited to: i) No loss of regular wages while attending a requisite course ii) Paid course fees iii) Paid time for clinical practicums in the Hospital or another clinical site iv) Any other initiatives, as agreed. (f) Part-time nurses will be credited with seniority and service for all such hours paid while participating in these initiatives as provided above.

  • Supervision of Contractor Personnel The Contractor must supply all necessary and sufficient supervision over the work that is being performed and will be held solely responsible for the conduct and performance of his employees or agents involved in work under the Agreement.

  • CONTRACTOR SUPERVISION Contractor shall provide competent supervision of personnel employed on the job Site, use of equipment, and quality of workmanship.

  • Supervisors Supervisors may continue to perform bargaining unit work which is incidental to their jobs. They may also perform bargaining unit work in emergency situations and where such work is necessary to train a covered member. Such work by supervisors may result from but shall not cause any layoffs of covered members.

  • Supervision of Students At least one teacher is to remain with the students after the close of any activity, practice session or game until the last student has left the premises. This rule applies whether the group is at the home school or field or is away.

  • Contractor’s Responsibilities Unless stated specifically to the contrary in the tender with full supporting explanations, the contractor will be deemed to have concurred as a practical manufacturer with the design and layout of the works as being sufficient to ensure reliability and safety in operation, freedom from undue stresses and satisfactory performance in all other essentials as a working material.
