Teaching Load Credit Hours. 1. Except for teaching load credit for teaching load situations specified in Section C.4, which shall be governed by past practice, a teaching load credit hour represents the instructional contact time with the student. Instructional contact time for each course is defined in the College catalog as either "lecture" or "laboratory" contact time. For purposes of subsections C. of this Article, one hour shall equal fifty (50) minutes. Faculty shall earn one teaching load credit hour for each lecture contact hour. Teaching load credit hours for the situations other than lectures shall be earned as computed in Section C.2 through Section C.7.

Teaching Load Credit Hours. Teaching LoadDistance Education courses are considered the same as other courses offered by the College with respect to teaching load credit hours. The College shall designate each course with either "lecture" or "laboratory" contact hours reflecting existing lab and lecture designation for the corresponding course offered in traditional instructional settings. In situations where there is no course offered in a traditional setting, the College shall designate lecture and/or laboratory contact hours in the same manner as it does other new courses. Faculty teaching these courses will be granted teaching load credit hours in accordance with Article IX, Section C.1, of the Faculty Association contract. Enrollment of greater than 40 students in a single section of a Distance Education course shall entitle the faculty member to teaching load credit hours in accordance with Article IX, Section C.5

  • Teaching Load Full teaching assignments shall normally include 12 course credit hours of scheduled teaching per academic quarter. A reassignment of duty, for the equivalent of 3 or 4 credit course, shall be provided during one term of the first academic year to all newly hired tenure track faculty to further their teaching, scholarship and service and to encourage faculty retention. Wherever possible the University will endeavor to arrange teaching schedules that avoid excessive numbers of preparations and recognize evening and/or off-campus assignments. Class sizes will be established and monitored by the appropriate academic xxxx in consultation with division chairs and affected faculty each term. The following equivalencies will be used in determining teaching assignments:

  • Teaching Loads The range of teaching loads, number of preparations and number of pupil contacts required should provide for effective instruction and meaningful teacher-student interaction. DPS and the Association agree to work together to seek increased state funding to decrease class size. The principal shall report to the CSC, after the roster verification process, the number of students in each class and this will be published in the CSC minutes on the school’s website. For the purposes of this section, a “class” shall be defined as any general education, including electives and model one classes. Upon request, after the roster verification process, the District shall provide the Association with the student information management system data regarding class enrollment.

  • Credit Hours Credit hours are hours that an employee elects to work, with supervisory approval, in excess of the employees basic work requirement under a flexible work schedule. Credit hours may only be accrued under a flexible work schedule. Employees must notify their direct supervisor of their intent to earn credit hours and the duties to be performed at least four (4) hours in advance of the time. Management will respond and approve the credit hours if the work is assigned duties that could not have been performed during a normal tour of duty. Credit hours used are considered hours worked.

  • TEACHING HOURS AND TEACHING LOAD A. As professionals, teachers are expected to devote to their assignments the time necessary to meet their responsibilities, but they shall not be required to “clock in or clock out” by hours and minutes. Teachers shall indicate their presence for duty by placing their signature and time in the proper column of the faculty “sign-in” roster.

  • TEACHING HOURS AND CLASS LOAD A. Teacher hours of duty shall be: Seven (7) hours and forty-five (45) minutes per day

  • Service Credit Time spent on authorized leaves of absence without pay will count towards seniority, including service credit for annual step increases, layoff purposes, and for computing the amount of vacation leave, provided the employee is properly returned to service and is not serving a probationary period. Employees that do not return to service from a personal leave of absence shall not receive service credit for the time spent on such leave.

  • EPP service availability Refers to the ability of the TLD EPP servers as a group, to respond to commands from the Registry accredited Registrars, who already have credentials to the servers. The response shall include appropriate data from the Registry System. An EPP command with “EPP command RTT” 5 times higher than the corresponding SLR will be considered as unanswered. If 51% or more of the EPP testing probes see the EPP service as unavailable during a given time, the EPP service will be considered unavailable.

  • Support Hours 3.1. Standard Support Hours: Toll-free telephone support (0-000-000-0000 option #2) is available Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. EST to 8:00 p.m. EST. After- hours, holiday and weekend support for Severity 1 and Severity 2 issues is available by calling 0-000-000-0000, option #8.

  • Borrowing of Unearned Vacation Credits With the approval of the Employer, an Employee who has been employed for a period of five (5) or more years may be granted five (5) days from the vacation leave of the next subsequent year.
