Social and Environmental Responsibility Supplier warrants that in all countries in which Supplier and, to Supplier’s information and belief, Supplier’s authorized subcontractors do business, its and their operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing labor and employment, employee health and safety, protection of the environment, and ethical practices. Supplier will comply with DXC Supplier Code of Conduct (xxxxx://xxx.xxx.xxxxxxxxxx/cr/ds/118945- csc_responsible_supply_chain_program), including establishment of management systems as described therein.
Personal Responsibility The Participant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) certify that Participant has no physical or mental condition that precludes him/her from participating in the Activities and that he/she is not participating against medical advice.
Family Responsibility Leave An employee is entitled to up to 5 days of unpaid leave during each employment year to meet responsibilities related to: (a) the care, health or education of a child in the employee’s care; or (b) the care or health of any other member of the employee’s immediate family.
Customer’s Responsibility The policies in this document apply to the use of Data by Customers, Redistributors and their End Customers. Customers are responsible for compliance with this policy by all members of the Customer’s Group and by all persons to whom they distribute Data where authorised to do so. Turquoise recommends that Customers make this Schedule available to all Subscribers to their services having access to Data which is subject to Charges, reporting requirements or usage restrictions.
Social Responsibility the Contracted Party is responsible for the impacts of its decisions and activities on society and the environment through an ethical and transparent behavior that (i) contributes to sustainable development, including the health and well-being of society, and takes into account the stakeholders’ expectations; (ii) is in compliance with the Best Practices of the Oil Industry; and (iii) is integrated into the Contracted Party and applied in its relationships related to the Contracted Party’s activities within its sphere of influence.
EMPLOYEES OF THE CONTRACTOR All work under this contract shall be performed in a professional and skillful manner. The County may require, in writing, that the Contractor, remove from this contract any employee the County deems incompetent, careless, or otherwise objectionable.
Tenant’s Responsibility (a) Except to the extent contributed to by a Landlord Party and except for those matters listed in Section 9.5(a) for which the Landlord shall be responsible, the Tenant shall be solely responsible and liable for any work required by any governmental authority having jurisdiction with respect to any Contaminants on, in or under the Premises during the Term of the Lease. Except (i) as caused by or contributed to by a Landlord Party, and (ii) for those matters listed in Section 9.5(a), the Tenant shall indemnify, defend (utilizing counsel satisfactory to the Landlord) and hold harmless the Landlord and the Landlord’s respective officers, directors, beneficiaries, shareholders, partners, agents and employees from all Claims arising out of or in any way connected with any Release of any Contaminants that occurs during the Term of this Lease, at, in, on, from, under, or about the Premises or the Building, or which arises at any time from the Tenant’s use or occupancy of the Premises, or from the Tenant’s failure to provide all information, make all submissions, and take steps required by all authorities under Environmental Law. (b) Upon the occurrence of any material Release of a Contaminant at the Premises and upon the Tenant becoming aware of such Release, the Tenant shall immediately give written notice to the Landlord. In any event, the Tenant shall immediately take all steps required by Environmental Law to remedy or otherwise address the situation giving rise to any Release. (c) If any work is required in accordance with this section 9.2 the Tenant shall prepare all necessary studies, plans and proposals and submit them to the Landlord for approval, which approved shall not be unreasonably withheld, provide all bonds and other security required by any lawful governmental authorities and carry out the work required. In carrying out such work, the Tenant shall keep the Landlord fully informed of the progress of the work. If the Landlord has reasonable grounds for believing that the Tenant will not promptly or properly carry out such work, the Landlord may, in its sole discretion, elect to carry out all such work, or any part of it, and if the Landlord does so, the Tenant shall pay for all costs in connection therewith, within thirty (30) days after the Landlord has incurred the costs and made written demand to the Tenant. (d) The Tenant covenants, acknowledges and agrees that its obligations and liabilities under this Section shall survive the expiration or earlier termination of this Lease.
Customer’s Responsibilities 2.1. A properly configured hardware firewall is required for each Customer Location using a persistent connection to the public internet or any private network where there is a potential for unauthorized access. This requirement is Customer’s responsibility. 2.2. Unless you subscribe to the Network and Security Services option known as “Antivirus Service” (or its successor product), Customer will be required to have and maintain in place third party malware and anti-virus protection software, including periodic and routine updates in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, and security for the Customer’s POS System Network, which security includes unique, strong passwords per user, physical security and access control policies. Customer acknowledges and agrees that security and protection of all of its networks, including the Customer POS System Network, and the data and applications on such networks, including protections against unauthorized access, is Customer’s responsibility. Customer acknowledges that, to be effective, malware protection software, system passwords and other security software and hardware components require periodic and routine updates, which Customer must obtain or perform as applicable. Customer agrees to not use or attempt to install remote access software on the Customer POS System Network unless approved by NCR Voyix.
Professional Responsibility 19.01 The parties agree that resident care is enhanced if concerns relating to professional practice and workload are resolved in a timely and effective manner, as set out below; In the event that the Home assigns a number of residents or a workload to an individual employee or group of employees, such that she or they have cause to believe that she or they are being asked to perform more work than is consistent with proper resident care, she or they shall: i) At the time the workload issue occurs, discuss the issue within the Home to develop strategies to meet resident care needs using current resources. If necessary, using established lines of communication, seek immediate assistance from an individual(s) identified by the Home who has responsibility for timely resolution of workload issues. ii) Failing resolution at the time of occurrence of the workload issue, complain in writing to the Union-Management Committee within twenty (20) calendar days of the alleged improper assignment. The chairperson of the Union-Management Committee shall convene a meeting of the Union-Management Committee within twenty (20) calendar days of the filing of the complaint. The Union-Management Committee shall hear and attempt to resolve the complaint to the satisfaction of both parties. The Employer will provide a written response to the Union, with a copy to the ONA representation within ten (10) calendar days. iii) Prior to the complaint being forwarded to the Independent Assessment Committee, the Union may forward a written report outlining the complaint and recommendations to the Director of Resident Care and/or the Administrator. iv) At any time during this process, the parties may agree to the use of a mediator to assist in the resolution of the Professional Practice issues. v) Any settlement arrived at under 19.01 (a) i) – iii) shall be signed by the parties. vi) Failing resolution of the complaint within twenty (20) calendar days of the meeting of the Union-Management Committee, the complaint shall be forwarded to an independent Assessment Committee composed of three (3) registered nurses; one chosen by the Ontario Nurses' Association, one chosen by the Home and one chosen from a panel of independent registered nurses who are well respected within the profession. The member of the Committee chosen from the panel of independent registered nurses shall act as Chairperson. vii) The Independent Assessment Committee shall set a date to conduct a hearing into the complaint, within twenty (20) calendar days of its appointment, and shall be empowered to investigate as is necessary to properly assess the merits of the complaint. The Independent Assessment Committee shall report its findings, in writing, to the parties within twenty (20) calendar days following completion of its hearing. (b) i) The list of Independent Assessment Committee Chairpersons is attached as Appendix “B”. The members of the panel shall sit in rotation as agreed by the parties. If a panel member is unable to sit within the time limit stipulated, the panel member next scheduled to sit will be appointed by the parties.
