Social Responsibility the Contracted Party is responsible for the impacts of its decisions and activities on society and the environment through an ethical and transparent behavior that (i) contributes to sustainable development, including the health and well-being of society, and takes into account the stakeholders’ expectations; (ii) is in compliance with the Best Practices of the Oil Industry; and (iii) is integrated into the Contracted Party and applied in its relationships related to the Contracted Party’s activities within its sphere of influence.

Party A’s social responsibility for supplying coal and power and bearing the public welfare expenses for the village (town) or the country, to the extent that is recognized by Party B, shall be succeeded by the new company established by Party B in the consolidation. As for the responsibilities that are not recognized by Party B, Party B or the newly-established company shall enter into a new agreement with related third party. Party A shall be responsible for any house collapse, ground fracturing, unsolved dispute with villagers, and the unsettled and unfulfilled agreement with Party A that occurs prior to Party B’s take-over. Party A shall be responsible for canceling the contracts the performance of which is not complete before signing this agreement, and for property handling the follow-up work. The expense paid to the other party for cancellation of the contract shall be borne by Party A.
Social Responsibility. (a) Each Party undertakes and warrants to the other Party that with respect to the performance of this Agreement it shall adhere to the ten principles of the UN Global Compact which include human rights, labour and environment principles and working against corruption in all its forms.
(b) Any damage of either Party due to the non-compliance with this warranty shall be limited to the direct damage suffered by the other Party as a result of such non-compliance.
(c) Such damages are the sole and only legal remedy in case of any breach by either Party of, or non-compliance with, the warranty set forth in Article 18.1(a). Therefore, any other remedies such as the rights to terminate or rescind this Agreement or withdraw from it or to claim any other damages such as indirect, consequential, special or incidental damages are expressly excluded.

Most notably, this makes it possible to anticipate and follow important developments at the Renault Group. Ensuring the health and safety of its workforce as well as improving employee quality of life in the workplace are major objectives for the Renault Group. The Renault Group has established a “ Health & Safety and Working Environment" policy which is based on the ”nine general principles to ensure Health & Safety at work ”1 This is deployed in all Renault establishments, involving managers, employees, health and safety professionals and employee representatives in accordance with their respective fields of responsibility. Management of Health & Safety responsibilities in this way enables the Renault Group to make diagnoses and formulate action plans. Within the framework of the physical and mental health policy, dedicated teams provide support to employees throughout their professional life.
