Trailer School. To qualify for attendance at the tractor-trailer school, an employee must have a minimum of one (1) year safe driving for the year preceding their application to attend the school. The Employer will determine whether an employee is qualified to drive tractor-trailer. If an employee disqualifies him/herself, they will not be afforded the opportunity to again qualify for a period of not less than three

Trailer School. Drivers who are interested in qualifying as a tractor-trailer driv- er, shall notify the Employer. Such employees in seniority order, will be permitted to attend the Employer training program which may be established from time to time as the need occurs. The Employer training program shall consist of one (1) week of non-productive training which the drivers will attend on their own time. The second week of the training shall be considered productive training for which the drivers shall be paid the appli- cable rate of pay for all hours worked. The Employer agrees to furnish the necessary equipment and instructors. Upon comple- tion of this the employee shall be required to maintain the proper licence and work as needed in the classification. It is understood that the employee will maintain the proper licence for the length of the agreement. If an employee fails to maintain the required licence, he shall be allowed to work subject to the contractual provisions in Appendix In the event no drivers are interested in qualifying as a trailer driver, other employees may be considered provided they have the necessary qualifications. An employee who desires to be removed the qualified list will notify the Employer at least three (3) months prior to the expiration of this Agreement.

  • Summer School SUCCESS employees are not eligible for this provision. Employees engaged in teaching summer school shall be granted two summer school days of absence in a single term for either sick leave or emergency leave, or a combination of both, non-accumulative.
