Training Programs For Part Time Employees. Part time employees attending full time formal training programs will be compensated for additional time on a straight time basis, unless they are required to work in excess of 7 1/4 hours per day. The Manager must provide 3 weeks notice in writing for the training program. When the employee is not provided with 3 weeks notice of the formal training program they will be compensated for the additional time on a straight time basis, however, in addition, they will receive a premium of $20.00 per day for each day or part of a day, in addition to their normal schedule. Alternatively, where possible, they may elect to defer to attend at a later date when sufficient notice may be provided.
