Common use of Unauthorized Absences Clause in Contracts

Unauthorized Absences. Employees are to report to work and satisfactorily perform their duties unless absent as authorized by law or by this Agreement. All other absences are unauthorized. The District will deduct one day's salary for each day of unauthorized absence. Salaries will be reduced on a pro rata basis for unauthorized absences of less than a full day. Unauthorized absences shall also be grounds for discipline in accordance with the Agreement and the law.
