Union Administrative Leave Of Absence. Subject to the provisions of this Section, up to two employees designated in writing by the Union President or Executive Director will be granted a paid Union Administrative Leave of Absence. The Union shall indemnify the Employer for any and all liability arising out of any act or omission of the employee, and for any and all costs arising out of any injury, illness or disability to the employee which may be compensable under the State's Workers’ Compensation Act, during the term of the Leave of Absence. During the period of the Leave of Absence, the employee's status for pay, benefits, insurance, retirement, FICA, and other benefits shall be treated as though the employee is working in full 80-hour pay status. However, the employee shall be considered as not subject to the direction and control of the Employer. The Employer shall be entitled to establish reasonable limitations and conditions upon such leave and utilization of administrative leave from the bank established in Sections E and F to protect the integrity of and public confidence in the Departments' programs.   • Special Leave of Absence Teachers may be granted leaves of absence without pay for one (1) year under the following criteria:

  • Long Term Leave of Absence The District may grant any employee an unpaid long-term leave of absence for up to one (1) year for study, child rearing, travel, medical, or other mutually agreed to reason(s).   • Union Leaves of Absence In support of the Partnership relationship, upon request, the Employer will grant time off to employees for official union business as long as the number of employees absent for union business does not impose an unreasonable burden on the Employer and the Employer receives reasonable notice. Union leaves will be defined according to the following: Short-Term Leaves are defined as leaves up to 30 days. Employees will continue to accrue seniority, service credit and benefits during the time of the absence, at the expense of the Employer. The impact of multiple short-term leaves on the operations must be considered. Long-Term Leaves are defined as leaves of absence for more than 30 days and up to a maximum of one year. Such leaves will be granted by the Employer in increments of three months and shall be jointly reviewed, on a periodic basis, at the regional level. Seniority, service credit, credited service and health, dental and life insurance benefits will continue during the leave as long as the union reimburses Xxxxxx Permanente for the associated costs.

  • Educational Leave of Absence Leaves of absence may be granted up to six (6) months under the above provisions only if the course would be beneficial to both the University and the employee.
