Common use of Union Leaves Clause in Contracts

Union Leaves. (a) Should an employee be appointed to a full-time position with the Union, they may apply for a leave of absence for a three (3) month period. During the period of time they are on leave, their seniority shall continue with the Employer and their leave of absence may be renewed for three (3) terms of three (3) months each. (b) Upon Union’s request, the Employer shall grant Union stewards up to four (4) days’ time off with pay per calendar year to attend training or conference provided by the Union. (c) Upon Union’s request, the Employer shall grant Union Health & Safety Committee up to four (4) days’ time off with pay per calendar year to attend training or conference provided by the Union.
