Paid Leave for BEU President a. A full time paid leave of absence shall be granted annually to the BEU President in each year of this Agreement for the purpose of conducting BEU business. The BEU agrees to reimburse the BSC for the entire cost of wages and all fringe benefits attributable to each paid leave. The reimbursement of wages will be calculated by adding the President’s salary for that year to the average salary of persons newly employed on the same salary schedule as the President on or before September 1 of that year, and by dividing such total by two. Such reimbursement shall in no event be higher than the BEU President’s salary. In any year when there are no new hires, the parties will use the average salary calculated from the prior year, adjusted by the percentage change on the salary schedule for the year of no new hires. b. The BEU must notify the Superintendent by March 1 of the intention of the BEU President not to return to active employment in his or her bargaining unit the following school year. c. The classroom re-entry procedures applicable to the BEU President in office on March l, 2000 are set forth in a side letter dated March 22, 2000. Classroom re-entry procedures applicable to a subsequent Union President who has been absent from a classroom for more than four consecutive years while on Union President leave will be subject to negotiations between the parties in a successor agreement.

  • Leave, President, O.N.A Upon application in writing by the Association on behalf of the nurse to the Hospital, a leave of absence shall be granted to such nurse elected to the office of President of the Ontario Nurses' Association for a period of up to three (3) consecutive two (2) year terms. Notwithstanding Article 10.04, there shall be no loss of service or seniority for a nurse during such leave of absence. During such leave of absence, the nurse's salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital and the Association agrees to reimburse the Hospital in the amount of the full cost of such salary and applicable benefits. It is understood, however, that during such leave the nurse shall be deemed to be an employee of the Ontario Nurses' Association. The nurse agrees to notify the Hospital of her or his intention to return to work at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of such return.

  • Association President The President of the Association has the right to visit schools. The President will coordinate the visits with the offices of the principals in order to facilitate the purpose of this visit. Visits that are made to solve special problems of teachers will be arranged in advance by notifying the office of the principal.

  • President’s Leave The Employer shall authorize a leave of absence with pay for the President of the Association. The leave of absence with pay shall be taken for a two-year period beginning two (2) weeks after written notice by the Association to the Bureau of Employee Relations and the newly-elected President’s agency. During such leave of absence with pay, the President shall continue to receive and retain all of his/her wages, rights, benefits, and seniority as a state employee except that all leave accumulation shall be frozen for the duration of the leave of absence. Upon returning from the leave of absence, the President shall resume earning leave at the rates appropriate to his/her service at the time of return. The Employer agrees that there shall be no action taken with respect to the President or the President’s state position prior to or following his/her return from the leave of absence because of his/her legal union activities. The Association agrees to reimburse the Employer for the full cost of the wages and benefits for the President, and to indemnify the Employer against any and all liabilities associated with the leave of absence, including but not limited to workers' compensation.

  • Chairman An individual (who need not be a Registered Warrantholder) designated in writing by the Warrant Agent shall be chairman of the meeting and if no individual is so designated, or if the individual so designated is not present within fifteen minutes from the time fixed for the holding of the meeting, the Registered Warrantholders present in person or by proxy shall choose an individual present to be chairman.
