Union Representatives Article XII Union Rights. (a) The County recognizes the right of the Employees to designate specific representatives of the Union to appear on their behalf to discuss salaries, working conditions, grievances and disputes as to the terms and conditions of this Agreement and to visit Employees during working hours, subject to work requirements of the County. The Union representatives shall consist of the following: Thirty (30) shop stewards and five (5) officers who shall be the sole representatives of the Union authorized to carry out such duties. Only representatives designated by the Union President shall be permitted a reasonable amount of time free from regular duties to fulfill their obligations. A listing of representatives shall be given to the County Executive in January of each year and within thirty (30) days of any change. Time required for such representation must be reported to the Unit Head on at least a weekly basis. Such representatives shall be permitted to appear at public hearings before the County Legislature.

  • Union Representatives Upon mutual agreement of the parties, the number may be altered from time to time. Where a Union Representative commences on an extended leave of absence, the Union will endeavour to find a temporary replacement for the Union Representative from within the Home.

  • Union Representative Visits The Union shall inform the Employer in advance whenever the designated representatives of the Union intend to visit the Employer’s premises for the purpose of conducting Union business. Such visits shall not interfere with the normal operations of the worksite. Reasonable accommodation will be made to allow the Presidents of the Unions to have access to union members to conduct union business.
