Union Representatives Leave. 24.01 Where it is necessary for a Union Member to make a request for a leave of absence to perform the duties of any office of the Union, the application for leave must be made in writing to the Employer for approval. The application for leave shall will be made in writing with as much advance notice as possible and where possible two possible, but not less than four (24) weeks’ notice shall , or such shorter time period as required which will not be provideddenied unreasonably and except in extenuating circumstances the time factor may be waived or reduced.
