University Education. The ERC’s university education program will function with a governing hypothesis of how to develop creative, innovative, and globally competitive engineers, will implement a set of activities and experiences designed to impart those characteristics to students, and will assess the impact of the program in achieving the desired characteristics in the impacted students.
University Education. The Alberta Teachers' Association Teacher Qualifications Service (TQS) shall evaluate a teacher's university education for salary purposes in accordance with the policies and principles approved by the Teacher Salary Qualifications Board established by the memorandum of agreement among the Department of Education, the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Alberta School Trustees' Association, dated March 23, 1967.
University Education. 5.1 The evaluation of a teachers' education for salary purposes shall be determined by a statement of qualification issued by the Alberta Teachers' Association Teacher Qualifications Service in accordance with the policies and principles approved by the Teacher Salary Qualifications Board. 5.2 It shall be the responsibility of the teacher to obtain and supply the secretary-treasurer with written proof of application for a statement of qualifications from the Teacher Qualifications Service within 30 calendar days of commencement of employment. If such proof of application is not provided within 30 calendar days, salary shall be adjusted effective the beginning of the month following provision of proof of application. 5.2.1 Teachers on staff in their first year will be paid at the four university level until TQS is supplied. Any salary adjustment shall be retroactive to the commencement of employment in the current school year if proof of application of TQS has been received within 30 calendar days of commencement of employment. If proof of application of TQS is not provided within 30 days of commencement of employment, pay will begin effective the beginning of the month following receipt by the secretary treasurer of application of same. 5.2.2 For teachers already on staff, adjustments to salary shall be retroactive to the beginning of the current school year or February 1 whichever is applicable. 5.2.3 For the purpose of article 5.2, written proof of application for a statement of

University Education. 4.1 The evaluation of teacher education for salary purposes shall be determined by a statement of qualifications issued by the Alberta Teachers' Association Teacher Qualifications Service in accordance with the policies and principles approved by the Teacher Salary Qualifications Board, established by memorandum of agreement among the Department of Education, the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Alberta School Trustees' Association, dated March 23, 1967. 4.2 The adjustment dates for changes in the allowance for university education are September 1 and February 1. 4.3 Each teacher claiming additional teacher education and each teacher commencing employment with the Board, shall supply satisfactory evidence or proof of application for evidence of teacher education to the Board within 45 calendar 4.4 Provided prior approval is obtained from the Board, a teacher who successfully completes an accredited university course shall be reimbursed by the Board to a maximum of:
University Education. 1.1.1. Both Parties shall encourage the co-operation and development of relations between universities and higher education and research institutes of both countries (see Annex I). They will inform each other on agreements between universities. The two Parties shall also favour co-operation between the relevant bodies of the two countries within the context of the E.U. Programme Socrates/Erasmus. 1.1.2. Both Parties shall invite their highest academic authorities to promote cultural projects of common interest, with a view to establishing contacts aimed at identifying research sectors of common interest, as well as starting co-operation between the universities and the higher education institutes of both countries. This co-operation will also aim at studying both academic systems in order to achieve common criteria for exchanges between universities in the two countries. 1.1.3. During the period covered by this Programme, both Parties shall annually exchange up to 3 teachers or university researchers for visits not exceeding 10 days. Those visits aimed at establishing co-operation or implementing joint programmes between universities in the field of scientific and technological research shall be given priority.

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Distance Education 7.13.1 Expanding student access, not increasing productivity or enrollment, shall be the primary determining factor when a decision is made to schedule a distance education course. There will be no reduction in force of faculty (as defined in Article XXIII of this Agreement) as a result of the District’s participation in distance education. 7.13.2 Courses considered to be offered as distance education shall be defined in accordance with the Board of Governors’ Title 5 Regulations and Guidelines. Generally, this definition refers to courses where the instructor and student are separated by distance and interact through the assistance of communication technology (reference section 55370 of Title 5 California Code of Regulations). The determination of which courses in the curriculum may be offered in a distance education format, in addition to instructor/student contact requirements, shall be in accordance with the Title 5 California Code of Regulations.

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • Outreach and Education The agencies agree to coordinate, conduct joint outreach presentations, and prepare and distribute publications, when appropriate, for the regulated community of common concern. • The agencies agree to work with each other to provide a side-by-side comparison of laws with overlapping provisions and jurisdiction. • The agencies agree to provide a hyperlink on each agency’s website linking users directly to the outreach materials in areas of mutual jurisdiction and concern. • The agencies agree to jointly disseminate outreach materials to the regulated community, when appropriate. • All materials bearing the DOL or DOL/WHD name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by DOL. • All materials bearing the OEAS name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by OEAS.

  • Dimensions Education Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 10 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders. Requires advanced technical and business knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance, project management and other related disciplines/processes.

  • Board of Education If the teacher or the Association is not satisfied with the decision at Stage 2, the teacher or the Grievance Committee will file an appeal in writing with the Board of Education within fifteen school days after receiving the decision at Stage 2.
