Unpaid Leave - After Two Years. After two years of continuous service, an employee may request, in writing, an extended unpaid leave of absence of up to forty-five (45) days, giving the longest possible advance notice. Every reasonable effort will be made to comply with such request providing that replacements to ensure proper operation of the Employer’s business can be found. Notice of the Employer’s decision shall be given in writing. Requests from an employee for an extension to the forty-five (45) days unpaid leave may be granted subject to operational requirements.
