Unpaid Paternity/Maternity/Adoption Leave. 1. Any staff member may use Sick Leave for absence due to disability caused or contributed to by pregnancy interruption, childbirth, and recovery there from (hereafter collectively referred to as "pregnancy"). Maternity leave may be used in lieu of Sick Leave when any staff member has exhausted Sick Leave or after the period of disability as verified in writing by the employee's physician.
