Unplanned absence. In the case of illness or emergency, the employee will notify their manager (via email or phone) as soon as possible, normally before the commencement of their next shift. Wellness days must be used for unplanned absences such as illness or emergency prior to accessing other banks. Where an employee has exhausted their annual wellness day entitlement, they may request, in writing, the use of vacation credits or time in lieu for salary continuance.
Unplanned absence. Employee will be allowed to use (1) personal or vacation day without a 24 hour notice as long as proof is submitted upon return. Ex: Furnace goes out, Car breaks down - need to submit proof of repair bills.
Unplanned absence. The pupil’s parent/carer must notify the school of the reason for the absence on the first day of an unplanned absence by 08:30 or as soon as practically possible by calling the school absence line (see also sections 3 and 5.2). We will mark absence due to illness as authorised unless the school has a genuine concern about the authenticity of the illness. The school may ask the pupil’s parent/carer to provide medical evidence, such as a doctor’s note, prescription, appointment card or other appropriate form of evidence. We will not ask for medical evidence unnecessarily.

Unplanned absence. An unplanned absence occurs when an employee notifies the Employer that they will not report for work less than three (3) hour prior to the start of their work shift on a given day. The Employer shall offer the work, as the case may require, according to seniority to all employees available or to other employees who are known to be at work or who have not left the establishment.
Unplanned absence. Choices agrees to advise the OPR Liaison of a Child’s absence no later than forty-eight (48) hours after it becomes aware that a Child or Youth is absent in cases where the absence is unexpected. On the seventh (7th) day of a Child being away without leave, Choices shall contact the OPR Liaison. The OPR Liaison shall convey to Choices and the Child’s Social Worker the CAS’s position regarding the length of hold. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Section, if the CAS refers another Child to the Program to fill the bed vacated by a Child who is away without leave, Choices agrees not to continue to hold a bed for the Child who is away without leave.
Unplanned absence. There are two ways to report a student’s absence from school: (1) a parent must call the attendance office (Ext. 1212) before 8:30 AM that day to report the reason for your son’s absence, or (2) a parent must submit a note online via the attendance reporting portal on Q (after logging in, click “Attendance Reporting” link on the left side of the page). Once the ▇▇▇▇’▇ Office has received the attendance reports for the day, parents will receive a notification by way of email or text message to confirm receipt of the absence. Parents who do not report their son’s absence will receive a phone call from the school that day.
Unplanned absence. The Service Provider shall give to the Service Purchaser immediate notification of an unplanned absence. The placement must be retained for not less than 48 hours.

  • Excused Absences Absences will be excused only under the following circumstances.

  • Extended Absences In the event Tenant will be away from the Premises for more than 7 consecutive days, Tenant agrees to notify Landlord in writing of such absence. During such absence, Landlord may enter the premises at times reasonable necessary to maintain the property and inspect for damages and needed repairs.

  • Unrequested Leave of Absence The School Board may place on unrequested leave of absence as many teachers as may be necessary because of discontinuance of position, lack of pupils, financial limitations, or merger of classes caused by consolidation of districts.

  • Other Leaves of Absence In the event that you are on a bona fide leave of absence, not otherwise described in this definition, from which you have not returned to employment with the Company or an Affiliate, your Separation from Service has occurred on the first day on which your leave of absence period exceeds six months or, if earlier, upon your termination of employment (provided that such termination of employment constitutes a Separation from Service in accordance with the last sentence of the first paragraph of this definition).

  • Paid Leaves of Absence Paid leaves of absences granted under this Article shall not exceed the employee's normal work schedule.
