USE OF CITY BULLETIN BOARDS. The Union may use City bulletin boards for matters within the scope of representation of its members so long as such use does not interfere with the City use of such bulletin boards or cause any disruption within the City service. Materials posted by the Union shall not contain language reasonably regarded as containing personal attacks upon any City personnel. In the absence of any available bulletin board, the Union shall be given the option of providing its own bulletin board of mutually agreed upon size, type, and location.

USE OF CITY BULLETIN BOARDS. The Union may use reasonable portions of City bulletin boards under the following conditions: (a) All material must be dated and must identify the organization. All material must be in good taste and be a reflection of lawful Union activity or interests. (b) The City reserves the right to determine where bulletin boards shall be placed and what portion of them are to be allocated to Union material, provided that up to one-half (1/2) of the space on such boards is made available for Union use. (c) The area provided for Union material shall be headed with an appropriate sized placard stating the word "Union" and a boundary line installed to keep other materials from being placed in the Union area.

If the Association elects to provide bulletin boards for the exclusive use of the Association, the City and Association shall mutually agree upon the location and maximum size of the bulletin boards prior to installation. The Association will be responsible for the management of material placed on the bulletin board to ensure nothing violates City policy and remains current. The City’s Computer Use policy shall provide the guidelines for using the City’s E-mail system.

  • Use of Bulletin Boards Space shall be made available to OCEA on agency/departmental bulletin boards within the Representation Unit provided such use does not interfere with the needs of the agency/department and material posted is not derogatory to the County, County employees or other employee organizations. Notice shall be dated and signed by the authorized representatives of OCEA responsible for its issuance.
