Use of Paid Leave to Care for Family Members. Employees can use accrued sick, vacation or floating holiday leave to care for a child, spouse, parent, parent-in-law, or grandparent of the employee who has a serious health condition or an emergency condition. “Child” means a biological , adopted, or xxxxxx child, a stepchild, a legal xxxx, or a child of a person standing in loco parentis who is: (a) under eighteen (18) years of age; or (b) eighteen (18) years of age or older and incapable of self-care because of a mental or physical disability.
