Union Presentation. The County agrees to allow the Unions to meet the new bargaining unit employees following hire. Approximately five working days before the Union meets with the employee during the NEO period, a list of names of employees who shall be attending shall be forwarded to the Union.
Union Presentation. During the first week of orientation of new employees, the Union shall be given an opportunity to introduce (or have introduced) a Representative(s) who may speak briefly (normally 20 minutes to 1 hour) to describe the Union's office location, participation in negotiations and general interest, rights, policies and obligations in representing employees. At least one Employer Representative may attend said presentation as an observer, but shall not participate in and/or interfere with the Union presentation. No partisan political material, nor materials ridiculing individuals by name or obvious direct reference or defamatory to the Employer shall be contained in such presentation. Violation of this prohibition shall be cause for suspension and/or revocation of this right by the Employer. Upon request and subject to supervisory approval, a Local Union representative shall be given the opportunity to meet with the new employees on their shift(s) for up to 30 minutes. The meeting will occur within the first week of their initial assignment to a facility or an agreed upon alternate week. Such a meeting may also take place where bargaining unit members are assigned to a new facility as a result of a closure, reorganization or consolidation of facilities. No overtime or equivalent time off shall be authorized.
Union Presentation. During a planned orientation of a new representational Unit employee(s), the Union shall be given a reasonable amount of time to introduce one local Union Representative or one International Staff Representative to speak to describe the Union, its rights and obligations as an exclusive representative. No partisan political material, nor materials ridiculing individuals by name or obvious direct reference or defamatory or detrimental to the Employer shall be contained in such presentation. Violation of this prohibition shall be cause for suspension and/or revocation of this right by the Employer. The Local Union Representative making the presentation shall be a designated Union Representative at the work location premises at which the presentation is made. If the orientation is conducted off the work premises, the Local Union Representative shall have an opportunity to participate in accordance with this Section. Scheduling of presentations by the Employer shall normally be scheduled during regular work hours, however, presentations by the Employer may, when necessary, be done before or after regular work hours with the understanding that attendance will be encouraged. Where the Employer does not conduct a planned orientation within a reasonable period of time, not to exceed ten (10) working days, from the first day of work of the new employee(s), the designated Local Union Representative shall be provided an opportunity, without loss of pay, to make a separate Union presentation to the new employee(s) during regular working hours, at the employee(s) work site. The Union may make a separate presentation under such other circumstances as may be agreed upon in secondary negotiations. The scheduling and handling of presentations under this section shall be discussed in secondary negotiations.

Where no orientation is scheduled for new employees upon entry to the Bargaining Unit, an equivalent opportunity shall be afforded the Union to address new employees. One Local Union representative shall be released from work on administrative leave to attend the orientation for Union presentation. For purposes of pay only, the properly designated Union representative from the afternoon or midnight shift shall be permitted an equivalent amount of time off from scheduled work on his/her upcoming or previous shift in accordance with Article 8, Section B. One (1) Employer representative may attend said presentation as an observer, but shall not participate in and/or interfere with the Union presentation. No partisan political material, nor materials ridiculing individuals by name or obvious direct reference, and no material defamatory to the Employer, or the Union shall be presented in the orientation. Violation of this prohibition shall be cause for suspension and/or revocation of this right by the Employer.
Union Presentation. The Union or designees shall be on the program for the orientation for new teachers for a period not exceeding sixty (60) minutes. The Union President or designee shall also be on the agenda, upon request at least two days in advance, for a period not to exceed ten (10) minutes at the beginning of the first general building faculty meeting of the month, and for 10 minutes prior to their lunch break on SIP days or inservice days (regardless of the building where staff are attending), to address matters of staff concern. When available, Administrators shall cover the office in order for Office Staff to attend.
Union Presentation. During normal hours of classroom instruction, the Local Chairman or their delegate shall be allotted an amount of time to address the Trainees. This presentation time will be mutually agreed time and date.
Union Presentation. Reasonable time, but not longer than twenty (20) minutes, shall be granted for a representative of the Union to make a presentation at the orientation of new employees on behalf of the Union for the purpose of identifying the organization’s representation status, organizational benefits, facilities, related information, and distributing and collecting membership applications. The Employer shall give the Union ten days’ notice of any such orientation and shall provide the Union with an electronic list of expected participants at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the orientation. If the Union representative is an employee of Addus, the employee shall be given time off with pay for the time required to make the presentation. The Employer will provide the Union reasonable notice of the place and time of meetings for the orientation of new employees. Upon hiring any new bargaining unit employee, the employer shall provide the employee with a Union new hire packet provided by the union.
