VETERANS LAW. Except as hereinbefore provided, the re-employment rights of employees and probationary employees will be limited by applicable laws and regulations.

VETERANS LAW. The terms and conditions of agreements between the Company and the Union relating to veterans will be governed by applicable laws and regulations, and will continue to be applied in a non-discriminatory manner.
VETERANS LAW. 21.1 Except as hereinafter provided the re-employment rights of employees will be limited and/or extended by applicable laws and regulations.
VETERANS LAW. Employees who are inducted into the Armed Services will be granted leaves in conformance with conditions established by Federal and State Laws.
VETERANS LAW. Except as hereinbefore provided, the re-employment rights of employees and probationary employees will be limited by applicable laws and regulations. Employees who are reinstated in accordance with the above legislation and who seek and qualify for additional education and/or training under provisions of the Universal Military Training Act shall be accorded shift preference where possible and if necessary to meet academic schedules. Said qualified employee may, with approval of the City, request an educational leave of absence one (1) year after reinstatement as provided herein for a period not to exceed two (2) years.
VETERANS LAW. The re-employment rights of officers and probationary officers who are veterans shall be as prescribed by applicable laws and regulations. Officers who are in some branch of the armed forces, reserve or national guard, will be paid the difference between their reserve pay and their regular pay under this Agreement while they are on active duty in the reserve or national guard, provided proof of active duty and pay are submitted to the City. The obligation of the City under this provision is for a maximum of two weeks per year per officer.
