Water Heaters. Resident authorizes Landlord to make any adjustments to the thermostat on the water heater as it deems necessary. Resident releases Landlord for any and all responsibility of damage or injury caused by the hot water.
Water Heaters. In the event that the Tenant shall require a hot water heater or heaters, the Tenant agrees to install same at its costs or to lease same from Hydro-Québec and to pay all charges as same become due for rental or work services required in connection therewith.
Water Heaters. In 2008 approximately 1.3 million water heaters were produced for use in California (AHRI/Skeist) based on US data per-capita adjusted and scaled for 3% growth from 2003. Half of these were gas and half electric. Less than 1.5% (21,000) were commercial water heaters. The heaters are insulated, mostly with unclassified polyurethane foam, about 8 lbs. (3.64 kg) per electric heater and 5.5 lbs (2.5 kg) per gas heater, which uses some fiberglass around the combustion chamber. The foam is applied by frothing and its density is about 30-35 kg/m3. The blowing agents used are mostly low-GWP pentane isomers.
Water Heaters. Electric water heaters shall be automatic and a maximum capacity of 2 k.
Water Heaters. Tenant shall ensure that all water heaters serving the Premises have a working automatic water shut-off device with audible alarm and a leak pan underneath with the drain line run to a suitable floor drain.
Water Heaters. 3.1 For solar hot water systems, it is a legal requirement that water be heated on a regular basis to kill Legionella bacteria that can lead to Legionnaires disease. The frequency this temperature must be reached varies, and is explained below:
i. Bottom element electric boosted system - Once per week to 60°C, that is, tanks with 90% volume above the element.
ii. Mid element electric boosted system - Once per day to 60°C;
iii. Gas boosted systems boost water to 70°C each time water drawn from the storage tank is less than 55oC.
3.2 The electrical system components must be installed and connected to a 240V power supply by a qualified electrician in accordance with AS3000.
3.3 Gas water heaters with a thermostat setting of less than 75oC have the specified warranty period for parts only as per Table 1, however if set to greater than 75oC have one year for parts only.
3.4 The Gas water heater must be installed as per the specifications of the manufacturer, i.e. if the unit is internal, then it cannot be installed externally unless specified otherwise by manufacturer.
Water Heaters. Do not turn electricity on to the water heater unless you are sure there is water in the tank. If there is a leak in the water heater, turn off the circuit breaker to the water heater BEFORE you call for service. If you fail to take these precautions, you may be liable to pay for the repair of the water heater. If you have a small child in the home, we strongly urge that you turn the thermostat on the hot water heater down to below 120 degrees to prevent scalding.
