While on Pregnancy Leave an employee may choose to post for another position, subject to Article 3:3 of the Collective Agreement.

While on Pregnancy Leave an employee may accumulate a maximum of 17 weeks of seniority recognition. An employee on Parental Leave may accumulate a maximum of thirty-five (35) weeks of seniority recognition pursuant to 40.2 (a) and (b) of the Employment Standards Act.
While on Pregnancy Leave the Board shall continue to pay its portion of all employee benefits in which the teacher is participating at the commencement of the leave. The Board shall also arrange for the teacher's portion of these benefits unless the teacher elects, in writing, not to do so. The teacher must apply for Employment Insurance benefits before 95% of salary becomes payable.
While on Pregnancy Leave the employee receiving supplementary leave benefits shall continue to participate in the Employer benefit plans as provided in this Agreement. Benefits and benefit plan premiums will be based on the nominal salary. For those employees not receiving supplementary pregnancy leave benefits, the Employer shall continue to pay the premiums for the plans as provided in this Agreement.

  • Pregnancy Leave (a) Pregnancy leave will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act, except where amended in this provision.

  • Pregnancy Sick Leave Leave for illness of a Nurse arising out of or associated with a Nurse’s pregnancy prior to the commencement of, or the ending of, pregnancy leave granted in accordance with Article 13.00, may be granted sick leave in accordance with the provisions of the Collective Agreement.

  • Pregnancy Leave Notice (a) A pregnant Nurse shall provide the Employer with at least four (4) weeks notice of the date the Nurse intends to begin pregnancy leave. Such notice and start date of the leave may be amended:

  • Pregnancy Disability Leave A. Leave for pregnancy or childbirth related disability is in addition to any leave granted under FMLA or WFLA.

  • Industrial Accident or Illness Leave 7.6.1 All unit members shall receive sixty (60) days’ leave with pay in any one fiscal year for an industrial accident or illness. An industrial accident or illness is defined as one where the unit member becomes ill or is injured while he/she is serving the District, and, the accident or illness is reported to the District’s Self-Insurance Program in accordance with District regulations, and, the District Self-Insurance Program accepts responsibility for the treatment of the unit member.

  • Family Medical Leave or Critical Illness Leave a) Family Medical Leave or Critical Illness leaves granted to a permanent Teacher or long-term Occasional Teacher under this Article shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act, 2000, as amended.

  • Pregnancy/Birth Allowance (a) A Nurse entitled to pregnancy leave under the provisions of this Agreement, who provides the Employer with proof that she has applied for, and is eligible to receive employment insurance (E.I.) benefits pursuant to Section 22, Employment Insurance Act, S.C. 1996, c.23, shall be paid an allowance in accordance with the Supplementary Employment Benefit (S.E.B.).

  • Paternity Leave (a) An employee will provide to the employer at least ten weeks prior to each proposed period of paternity leave, with:

  • Parental and Pregnancy Disability Leave A. Parental leave will be granted to the employee for the purpose of bonding with their newborn, adoptive or xxxxxx child. Parental leave may extend up to six (6) months, including time covered by the family medical leave, during the first year after the child's birth or placement. Leave beyond the period covered by family medical leave and pregnancy disability may only be denied by the Employer due to operational necessity. Such denial may be grieved beginning at the top internal step of the grievance procedure in Article 30.
