Work Day/Meal Period. (a) Meal breaks shall be a minimum of thirty (30) minutes, unpaid and on the employee's own time, provided the employee is off-duty for that meal period. It is the Employer's intention to provide uninterrupted meal breaks. (b) Specific to the University-wide Nonsupervisory, Supervisory, and Health Care Professional/Laboratory Technical bargaining units: The normal work day for full-time employees typically shall be eight (8) hours to be completed within a nine (9) hour period. The meal period shall commence not earlier than the second hour of the shift nor later than the fifth hour of the shift. If the employee is required to work beyond the fifth hour without a break, the employee will be allowed to eat his/her meal at the duty station on the Employer's time.

Work Day/Meal Period. The regular work day of Newswriters, Editors, Service Aides and News Production Assistants shall consist of eight (8) hours of actual work. Newswriters, Editors, Service Aides and News Production Assistants shall be assigned by the Company to an "eat-on-the-job" meal period. The Company agrees to schedule as consecutive hours those hours worked by Newswriters, Editors, Service Aides and News Production Assistants during any day, except as in the opinion of the Company, the nature of its business and emergencies may otherwise require.

  • Meal Period Employees shall receive a meal period which shall commence no less than two (2) hours nor more than five (5) hours from the beginning of the employee's regular shift or when the employee is called in to work on their regular day off. The meal period shall be no less than one-half (½) hour nor more than one (1) hour in duration and shall be without compensation. Should an employee be required to work in excess of five (5) continuous hours from the commencement of their regular shift without being provided a meal period, the employee shall be compensated two (2) times the employee's straight-time hourly rate of pay for the time worked during their normal meal period and be afforded a meal period at the first available opportunity during working hours without compensation.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.

  • No-­‐Activation Period Registry Operator shall not activate any names in the DNS zone for the Registry TLD (except for "NIC") until at least 120 calendar days after the effective date of this agreement. Registry Operator may allocate names (subject to subsection 6.2 below) during this period only if Registry Operator causes registrants to be clearly informed of the inability to activate names until the No-­‐Activation Period ends.

(b) An employee shall be entitled to take their meal period away from the workstation. Where this cannot be done, the meal period shall be considered as time worked.

  • Project Period The Project Period ("Project Period") is the time during which the Applicant will be conducting the Project. Unless this Investment Agreement is terminated earlier under Article 7 Termination, the Project Period commences on the Project Start Date and ends on the Project Completion Date.

  • Contract Year A twelve (12) month period during the term of the Agreement commencing on the Effective Date and each anniversary thereof.
