Zone 4 - Seniority District. 1. Territory Covered: Kansas City to Coffeyville (not including Coffeyville) Kansas City to Parsons (not including Parsons) Kansas City to Wichita via BNSF trackage rights (not including Wichita) Kansas City to Winfield via BNSF trackage rights (not including Winfield) Kansas City to Pratt via Xxxxxxxxxx via BNSF trackage rights (not including Pratt) The above includes all UP and SSW main lines, branch lines, industrial leads, yard tracks and stations between or located at the points indicated. Where the phase "not including" is used above, it refers to other than through freight operations, but does not restrict through freight engineers from operating into/out of such terminals, points or from performing work at such terminals/points pursuant to the designated collective bargaining agreement provisions. 2. The existing UP Interdivisional Service between Kansas City and Coffeyville shall continue as a separate pool and shall be governed by the provisions of the ID Agreement dated August 15, 1985, including all side letters and addenda. a. Hours of Service relief of trains in this pool shall be protected as provided in the existing agreement rules covering such runs. 3. The existing but non-operational SSW Kansas City to Xxxxx (via Xxxxxxxxxx) run shall be preserved under this Agreement and in the event such runs resume in the future they shall be governed by the provisions of the UP-BLE Kansas City Hub Agreement. The home terminal will be changed to Kansas City. Xxxxx will serve as the away-from-home terminal. 4. Former SSW yard engine equity in Kansas City shall be placed under Zone 4. The former SSW engineers who elect Zone 4 as their prior rights zone and former UP engineers in Zone 4 shall compete for all assignments in Zone 4 on the basis of their Zone 4 seniority. 5. At Coffeyville/Xxxxxxx, Wichita, Xxxxxxxx and Pratt, away-from-home terminal engineers called to operate through freight service to Kansas City may receive the train for which they were called up to twenty-five (25) miles on the far side of the terminal and run back through Coffeyville/Xxxxxxx, Wichita and Xxxxxxxx to their destination without claim or complaint from any other engineer. When so used, the engineer shall be paid an additional one-half (1/2) day at the basic pro rata through freight rate for this run in addition to the district miles of the run.   • Seniority Date Employees shall acquire seniority upon completion of the probationary period as defined in Article XIII and upon acquiring seniority, the seniority date shall relate back to the first date of continuous service in the bargaining unit. If more than one employee commences work on the same date, lot shall determine seniority ranking for such employees. A District-Wide seniority list will be provided for the exclusive representative no later than November 1 of each year.

  • Transfer and Seniority Outside the Bargaining Unit (a) It is understood that an employee shall not be transferred by the Hospital to a position outside the bargaining unit without his consent except in the case of temporary assignments not exceeding six (6) months. Such employees on temporary assignments shall remain members of the bargaining unit. (b) An employee who is transferred to a position outside the bargaining unit shall not, subject to (c) below, accumulate seniority. In the event the employee is returned by the Hospital to a position in the bargaining unit within twenty-four (24) months of the transfer he or she shall be credited with the seniority held at the time of transfer and resume accumulation from the date of his or her return to the bargaining unit. An employee not returned to the bargaining unit within 24 months shall forfeit bargaining unit seniority. (c) In the event an employee transferred out of the bargaining unit under (b) above is returned to the bargaining unit within a period of six (6) calendar months, he shall accumulate seniority during the period of time outside the bargaining unit."

  • Seniority Roster The District shall maintain an updated seniority roster, indicating employee's class seniority and hire date seniority. Such rosters shall be available to CSEA.

  • Super Seniority For purposes of layoff and recall only, the President shall head the seniority list, provided however, that such officer must have the necessary skill and experience to perform the required work. The Sheriff agrees that this section shall not be applied in an arbitrary manner.

  • Seniority Dates Upon request, the Employer agrees to make available to the Union the seniority dates of any employees covered by this Agreement. Such seniority dates shall be subject to correction for error on proper representation by the Union.

  • Classification Seniority Classification Seniority" is defined as the length of service in a specific job classification within the bargaining unit, beginning with the date an employee starts to serve a probationary appointment. Classification Seniority shall be interrupted only by separation because of resignation, discharge for just cause, failure to return upon expiration of a leave of absence, failure to respond to a recall from layoff, or retirement.

  • Accrual of Seniority Seniority shall accrue during: (a) the first one hundred and nineteen (119) calendar days of sick leave including time on E.I. sick benefit or Income Replacement Benefits under the Automobile Insurance Act; (b) unpaid leaves of absence up to and including one hundred and sixty-eight (168) work hours in a calendar year; (c) hours absent while receiving benefits from the Worker’s Compensation Board; (d) temporary positions, out-of-scope of any union, with the Employer not to exceed twelve (12) months unless extended by mutual agreement with the union; (e) bereavement leave, pressing necessity leave, family responsibility leave, medical care leave; (f) jury duty and court service; (g) vacation leave; (h) leave for elected Public Office; (i) union leave; (j) all maternity/paternity/adoption/parental leave; (k) education leave up to twenty-four (24) months. (l) Long-term disability or Income Replacement Benefits under the Automobile Insurance Act. (m) If an Employee’s hours of work are reduced due to a disability, full-time Employees shall maintain their pre- disability accrual rate. Other than full-time Employees shall accrue seniority as follows: (i) For those who have worked one (1) year or more: Paid Hours in Previous 52 Weeks = Seniority Hours Per 52 Week of Leave (ii) For other than full-time Employees who have worked for less than one (1) year:

  • Seniority Unit Layoff List Selection shall next be made from the Seniority Unit Layoff List unless the vacancy is being filled by an employee with more classification seniority who has received notice of permanent layoff.

  • Priority Hiring If the Contract Amount is over $200,000 and this Agreement is for services (other than Consulting Services), this section is applicable. Contractor shall give priority consideration in filling vacancies in positions funded by this Agreement to qualified recipients of aid under Welfare and Institutions Code section 11200 in accordance with PCC 10353.

  • Role of Seniority in Layoffs (a) Both parties recognize that job security shall increase in proportion to length of service. Therefore, in the event of a layoff, employees shall be laid off in the reverse order of their bargaining-unit-wide seniority, providing that the retained employees are able to perform the available work. (b) The layoff process will occur in accordance with the Layoff/Recall Policy and Procedures. In no case may this policy override a right or condition outlined within this Collective Agreement.
