Agency Seniority is defined as the length of service within the Agency and its predecessor agencies.
Agency Seniority means an employee's length of continuous service from their date of hire within the bargaining unit.

More Definitions of Agency Seniority
Agency Seniority is the length of continuous service with the Employer, dating back to the last date of hire. “State Seniority” is the total length of continuous service in a position or succession of positions with the State of Ohio, dating back to the last date of hire.
Agency Seniority means the length of continuous service in a career or term position (including probationary period) in an employee’s current agency. Where two (2) or more employees have the same seniority dates for determining job rights, then seniority shall be based on the highest number of the last four digits of the employee’s social security numbers, with the highest number being 9999 and the lowest number 0000. Except as otherwise provided by applicable law, seniority shall be broken under the following circumstances:
1. if the employee quits, resigns, or retires;
2. if the employee is dismissed and the dismissal is not reversed through applicable appeal procedures;
3. if the employee fails to return from authorized leave;
4. if the employee fails to respond to a recall from layoff; or
5. if the employee is on layoff status for more than six (6) months.
Agency Seniority shall be an employee's uninterrupted length of continuous bargaining unit service with the Employer. An employee shall have no seniority for the new-hire probationary period, but upon completion of the probationary period, seniority shall be retroactive to the date of hire.
Agency Seniority shall be computed on the basis of uninterrupted length of continuous service with the Employer. “Rank Seniority” shall be computed on the basis of the total time in rank. Rank seniority shall prevail over agency seniority where seniority rights are listed in this agreement.

B. The following situations constitute breaks in continuous service for which seniority is lost:
1. discharge or removal for just cause;
2. retirement;
3. layoff for more than eighteen (18) months;
Agency Seniority shall be defined as the length of the continuous service with the Stark County Board of DD calculated from the last date of hire or re- employment following a break in service.
