Layoff Status. Displaced nurses who are not qualified for an open bargaining unit position shall be on layoff status as of the date of displacement. Such nurses may choose to be placed in the Special Projects Pool in accordance with the PHOR Employment Security Policy and the provisions of Appendix C. Except where otherwise expressly provided, benefits and seniority shall not accumulate during the layoff period.
Layoff Status. (a) For a period of twelve (12) months following the commencement of layoff, an Employee may continue to participate in the Extended Health Care, Vision Care, Hearing Care, Group Life and Dental Care plans. For the first three (3) months of layoff the Employee may continue to pay the Employee's regular portions of the applicable premiums to the Employer, in advance, monthly. For the balance of the layoff, not to exceed nine (9) months, the Employee may continue to participate in the Extended Health Care, Vision Care, Hearing Care, Group Life and Dental Care plans by paying the total cost of the applicable premiums to the Employer, in advance, monthly, subject to the provisions of the plans.
(b) For a period of twelve (12) months following the commencement of layoff an Employee, their spouse and eligible dependent(s) will be entitled to participate
(c) Seniority will continue to accrue during the layoff period. Employees affected by layoff will not lose their employment relationship if they elect to take temporary positions within the University during the layoff period. If an Employee elects to take such a position, the Employee will be entitled to the provisions of Article 32.06

(c) Seniority will continue to accrue during the layoff period. Employees affected by layoff will not lose their employment relationship if they elect to take temporary positions within the University during the layoff period. If an Employee elects to take such a position, the Employee will be entitled to the provisions of Article 32.06
(e) Employment Category for any portion of the four (4) calendar months, which exceeds the Employee's layoff period.
Layoff Status. An employee who is on layoff status under either Option 2 or 3, shall be entitled to the following:
Layoff Status. For a period of eighteen (18) months following the date of layoff an employee shall be classified as on layoff status and their name will be maintained on a layoff eligibility list.
a) At the end of the eighteen (18) month period, or sooner if the employee so requests, the employee’s name shall be removed from the list and they will be deemed fully terminated.
b) An employee on layoff status shall not be entitled to any pay, status, benefits, or employment rights other than those specifically provided in this Article.
c) An employee on layoff status shall promptly inform the office of Human Resources, in writing, of any change of address. If the College mails a certified letter to employee’s last recorded address and it is returned unclaimed, the employee in layoff status will be deemed terminated. Employees on layoff status will be able to utilize the Employee Assistance Program within the guidelines of the plan.
d) The College may provide COCC tuition for one term as mutually agreed by the employee and the College.
Layoff Status. If seniority is not exercised in this manner, the nurse will be placed on layoff.
Layoff Status. 20 21 7.9(a) Maintenance of Layoff Status.
Layoff Status. If seniority is not exercised in this manner, the nurse 30 will be placed on layoff. Nurses may remain on layoff for up to two (2) 31 years and will not lose previously accrued credit for seniority while on 32 layoff.
Layoff Status. (a) For a period of two (2) years following the date of layoff, an employee shall be classified as on "layoff status," and the employee’s name maintained on a layoff eligible list. The order of names on the layoff eligible list shall be in inverse order of layoff. At the end of the two (2) year period, or sooner if the employee so requests, the employee's name shall be removed from the list and the employee shall be deemed fully terminated.
(b) An employee on layoff status shall not be entitled to any pay, status, benefits, or employment rights other than those specifically provided herein.
(c) An employee on layoff status shall promptly inform the Human Resources Director of any change of address, and shall be deemed terminated if a letter mailed to the last address recorded with the City is returned unclaimed.
(d) An employee being laid off shall be paid for the total accrued vacation, holiday (if any) and compensatory time existing at the time of the layoff date.
Layoff Status. While on layoff status, regular employees may apply for seasonal work. If an employee is laid off from a regular job and later accepts a seasonal position, this would not change any of the provisions in this Article. Employees who bump to a seasonal position will be subject to recall under Articles 14.3 and 14.4.
