Class Grievances definition

Class Grievances. With respect to issues affecting more than one bargaining unit employee, the Union may elect to file a grievance at Step 2 without the need for the individual employee(s) to file the grievance at Step 1. The twenty (20) day time limit referenced in Section 24.03, as well as the other requirements of this Article, shall be applicable to such filing.
Class Grievances. With respect to issues affecting more than one (1) Commander, the Union may elect to file a grievance at Step 2 without the need for individual Commanders to file a grievance at Step 1. The twenty (20) day time limit referenced in Section 29.02, as well as the other requirements of this Article, shall be applicable to such filings.
Class Grievances means grievances involving more than one supervisor. Grievances involving the administrator above the building level may be filed by the Association on behalf of the grievant(s) at Step 2.

Examples of Class Grievances in a sentence

  • Class Grievances shall be filed by the Union within twenty (20) days of the date on which the grievant(s) knew or reasonably could have known of the event giving rise to the Class Grievance.

  • Class Grievances shall be filed within fourteen (14) days of the date on which any of the like affected grievants knew or reasonably could have had knowledge of the event giving rise to the class grievance.

  • Class Grievances shall be filed within twenty (20) days of the date on which any of the like affected grievants knew or reasonably could have had knowledge of the event giving rise to the class grievance.

  • Class Grievances shall be filed by the Union within fifteen (15) days of the date on which the grievant(s) knew or reasonably could have known of the event giving rise to the Class Grievance.

  • The title on the grievance shall bear the name of the one (1) affected member plus the designation ‘class action.’ Class Grievances shall be filed within twenty (20) days of the date on which any of the like affected grievants knew or reasonably could have had knowledge of the event giving rise to the class grievance.

  • Class Grievances shall be initiated directly at Step Two (2) of the grievance procedure if the entire class is under the jurisdiction of the Step Two (2) management representative, or at Step Three (3) of the grievance procedure if the class is under the jurisdiction of more than one (1) Step Two (2) management representative.

  • Class Grievances: Shall mean grievances involving more than one supervisor.

  • The Chief Xxxxxxx shall be permitted time to investigate, present and process Class Grievances to the Employer without the loss of pay or benefits, and , if necessary, said Chief Xxxxxxx may be required to serve as witness at any court, tribunal or Unfair Labor Charge hearing in conjunction with said grievance.

  • The grievant, who must be present at all steps of the procedure if possible, except in Class Grievances where a grievant must be present, may be represented at all steps of the grievance procedure in person or, may also choose to have a representative of the Association present as a representative.

  • The Union’s Business Representative shall present the grievance in writing to the Chief of Police or the Chief’s designee or the Port will present the grievance in Class Grievances.

Related to Class Grievances

  • Grievances filed under this Article shall begin at Step 2. Grievances under this clause shall be handled with all possible confidentiality and dispatch.

  • Group Grievance is defined as a single grievance, signed by a Xxxxxxx or a Union Representative on behalf of a group of employee who have the same complaint. Such grievances must be dealt with at successive stages of the Grievance Procedure commencing with Step 1. The grievors shall be listed on the grievance form.

  • A grievance means a dispute or disagreement as to the interpretation or application of terms and conditions of employment contained in this Agreement.

  • Policy Grievance shall be signed by a xxxxxxx or a Union representative or, in the case of an Employer's policy grievance, by the Employer or its representative.

  • Grievance means a complaint in writing that an employee, group of employees, or the Union submits to management, to be processed through the grievance procedure.

  • Grievance System means the overall system that includes:

  • Tax Claims means any Claim against the Participating CCAA Parties (or any one of them) for any Taxes in respect of any taxation year or period ending on or prior to the applicable Filing Date, and in any case where a taxation year or period commences on or prior to the applicable Filing Date, for any Taxes in respect of or attributable to the portion of the taxation period commencing prior to the applicable Filing Date and up to and including the applicable Filing Date. For greater certainty, a Tax Claim shall include, without limitation, (a) any and all Claims of any Taxing Authority in respect of transfer pricing adjustments and any Canadian or non- resident Tax related thereto, and (b) any Claims against any BL/Wabush Released Party in respect of such Taxes;

  • Statement of Grievance shall name the grievant(s) involved, the facts giving rise to the grievance, the provision(s) of the Agreement alleged to be violated, and the remedy (specific relief) requested.

  • Grievance Committee means the Grievance Committee of the Bar.

  • Grievance Procedure is used in this Agreement, it shall be considered as including the arbitration procedure.

  • Complaints means each of the following documents:

  • DIP Claims means, collectively, the DIP ABL Claims and the DIP Term Loan Claims.

  • H1, H2 etc means First Highest, Second Highest Offers etc. in Disposal Tenders means

  • Related Claims means all Claims for Wrongful Acts based upon, arising out of, resulting from, or in any way involving the same or related facts, circumstances, situations, transactions or events or the same or related series of facts, circumstances situations, transactions or events, whether related logically, causally or in any other way.

  • Released Class Claims means the claims being released as described in Paragraph 6.2 below.

  • COVID-19 Pandemic means the epidemic, pandemic or disease outbreak associated with COVID-19.

  • Administrative Claims means (i) Claims that have been timely filed before the Administrative Claim Bar Date, pursuant to the deadline and procedure set forth in the Confirmation Order (except as otherwise provided by a separate order of the Bankruptcy Court), for costs and expenses of administration under sections 503(b), 507(b), or 1114(e)(2) of the Bankruptcy Code, including, without limitation: the actual and necessary costs and expenses incurred after the Petition Date of preserving the Estates and operating the businesses of the Debtors (such as wages, salaries, or commissions for services and payments for goods and other services and leased premises), (ii) Twenty Day Claims, and (iii) Claims timely asserted for stub rental payments under the Debtors’ leases. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, the filing of an Administrative Claim shall not be required in order to receive payment for any tax liability described in sections 503(b)(1)(B) and (C) in accordance with section 503(b)(1)(D) of the Bankruptcy Code.

  • Excess emissions - means an emission rate that exceeds any applicable emission limitation or standard allowed by any rule in Sections .0500, .0900, .1200, or .1400 of Subchapter 02D; or by a permit condition; or that exceeds an emission limit established in a permit issued under 15A NCAC 02Q .0700. (Note: Definitions of excess emissions under 02D .1110 and 02D .1111 shall apply where defined by rule.)

  • Intercompany Claims means, collectively, any Claim held by a Debtor against another Debtor.

  • Grievant means an employee or group of employees having the same grievance. In the case of a group of employees, one employee shall be designated by the group to act as spokesperson and to be responsible for processing the grievance.

  • Terms of the citation means those conditions and options expressly stated upon the citation.

  • High global warming potential hydrofluorocarbons means any hydrofluorocarbons in a particular end use for which EPA’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) program has identified other acceptable alternatives that have lower global warming potential. The SNAP list of alternatives is found at 40 CFR Part 82 subpart G with supplemental tables of alternatives available at (http://www.epa.gov/snap/).

  • Federal poverty level means the poverty level as defined by the most recently revised poverty income guidelines published by the United States Department of Health and Human Services in the Federal Register.

  • Unsecured Claims means claims which are not secured by any property of the Debtor’s Estate and which are not part of any other class defined in this Plan.

  • Claims means claims, suits, actions, arbitrations, demands, proceedings, fines, penalties, losses, damages, liabilities, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs), including those based on the injury to or death of any person or damage to property.

  • Professional Fee Claims means all Claims for accrued, contingent, and/or unpaid fees and expenses (including transaction and success fees) incurred by a Professional in the Chapter 11 Cases on or after the Petition Date and through and including the Confirmation Date that the Bankruptcy Court has not denied by Final Order. To the extent that the Bankruptcy Court or any higher court of competent jurisdiction denies or reduces by a Final Order any amount of a Professional’s fees or expenses, then those reduced or denied amounts shall no longer constitute Professional Fee Claims.
