Port Authority means a port authority created under Chapter 4582. of the Revised Code.
Airport Authority means any city or any public or private board or other body or organization chartered or otherwise established for the purpose of administering, operating or managing airports or related facilities, which in each case is an owner, administrator, operator or manager of one or more airports or related facilities.
Host Authority means the local authority appointed by the Parties under these arrangements to lead on a specified matter or function as set out in paragraphs 14 and 19.
Competent Authority and ‘Appellate Authority’ shall mean the following:
Investment authority means the responsibility conferred by action of law or a provision of an appropriate governing instrument to make, select or change investments, review investment decisions made by others, or to provide investment advice or counsel to others;
Management Authority means a national management authority designated in accordance with Article IX;
Development Authority means the New Jersey Schools
Government Authority means any foreign or domestic federal, state, provincial, municipal, county, city or local legislative, administrative or regulatory authority, agency, court, body or other governmental or quasi-governmental entity with competent jurisdiction, including any supranational body.
Contract Authority means the Board of Supervisors or the head of the department or agency presenting the proposed contract to the Board of Supervisors.
IWAI/ Authority/ Department/ Owner means the Inland Waterways Authority of India, which invites tenders on behalf of the Chairman, IWAI and includes therein-legal representatives, successors and assigns.
national competent authority means any national competent authority as defined in Article 2(2) of Regulation (EU) No 1024/2013;
Water Authority means the body corporate known as the Water Authority of Western Australia established by the Water Authority Xxx 0000;
Michigan state housing development authority means the public body corporate and politic created by Section 21 of the State Housing Development Authority Act of 1966, 1966 PA 346, MCL 125.1421.
Police Department means the Police Department of the City and County of San Francisco.
Local department means the local department of social services of any county or city in this
Finance Department means the Finance Department of the Government of Assam;
Contracting Department any contracting authority as defined in Regulation 5(2) of the Public Contracts (Works, Services and Supply) (Amendment) Regulations 2000 other than the Department; "Contractor Personnel" all employees, agents, consultants and contractors of the Contractor and/or of any Sub-contractor; "Contractor Software" software which is proprietary to the Contractor, including software which is or will be used by the Contractor for the purposes of providing the Services; "Crown Body" any department, office or agency of the Crown;
Central authority means the entity designated by the United States or a foreign country described in section 102(e)(iv) to perform the functions specified in the Convention.
Environmental Protection Agency or "EPA" means the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

Regional authority means the Director General of Foreign Trade appointed under section 6 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (22 of 1992) or an officer authorised by him to grant an authorisation including a duty credit scrip under the said Act.
Department means the department of health.
Government Authorities means, without limitation, all Government departments and agencies with responsibility for the import and export of goods, the collection of revenue on the import and export of goods and the transport of those goods to include, without limitation, Customs, AQIS, the ATO and the RSA;
Foreign central authority means the entity designated by a foreign country described in section 102(e)(iv) to perform the functions specified in the Convention.
public authority means any authority or body or institution of self- government established or constituted—
national authority means an approval authority or any other authority involved in and responsible for market surveillance, border control or registration in a Member State in respect of vehicles, systems, components, separate technical units, parts or equipment;
