Illegal Term shall have the meaning given in Clause 34; “Information Legislation” means the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Xxx 0000 and the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004; “Institution” means the Purchaser and each of the universities and colleges (and affiliated bodies) detailed in the Specification; “Intellectual Property Rights” means patents, trade marks, service marks, design rights (whether registerable or otherwise), applications for any of the foregoing, copyright, database rights, know-how, trade or business names and other similar rights or obligations whether registerable or not in any country (including the United Kingdom); “Issued Property” means anything issued or otherwise made available to the Contractor for any purpose by or on behalf of the Purchaser including working papers and other written materials; “Key Personnel” shall have the meaning given in Clause 15.2; “Law” means all applicable laws, consents and approvals, including legislative provisions, sub- ordinate legislation, legally binding codes of practice and the common law;

Examples of Illegal Term in a sentence
If a Court determines any CONTRACT term to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable (“Illegal Term”), the legality of the remaining terms shall not be affected, and the Illegal Term will not be part of the CONTRACT.
If a Court determines any Contract term to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable (“Illegal Term”), the legality of the remaining terms shall not be affected, and the Illegal Term will not be part of the Contract.
If an Illegal Term is so fundamental that its severance prevents the accomplishment of the purpose of the Contract, the parties shall immediately commence good faith negotiations to remedy such invalidity, but if the parties have not implemented that remedy within 2 weeks of the declaration of the provision as an Illegal Term, either party may terminate this agreement forthwith by notice in writing to the other.
Section Effect Illegal Term This Agreement shall be subject to any and all Federal and Provincial laws, Orders-in-Council, decrees or regulations of Government bodies having jurisdiction in such matters.
