RIGHTS OF STEWARDS definition

RIGHTS OF STEWARDS means an employee elected or appointed by the Union who is authorized to represent the Union, an employee or both. The recognizes the Union’s right to select stewards to represent employees. The Union shall determine the number of stewards and the jurisdiction of each xxxxxxx having regard to the plan of organization, the distribution of employees at the workplace, and the administrative structure implied by the grievance procedure. The Union agrees to provide the with a list of stewards and any subsequent changes for each work location. The Union shall provide appropriate identification for stewards. Stewards and employees shall not conduct Union business during their working time. The duties of the stewards shall be to investigate complaints of an urgent nature and to investigate and present grievances in accordance with the grievance procedure. For complaints of an urgent nature, a xxxxxxx shall first obtain the permission of the xxxxxxx’x immediate supervisor before leaving work to investigate such complaint with the employee and supervisor or Such permission shall not be unreasonably sought or withheld. On resuming the xxxxxxx’x normal duties, the xxxxxxx shall notify the xxxxxxx’x supervisor. When it is necessary for a xxxxxxx to investigate a complaint or grievance during working hours, no deduction in salary shall be made from the xxxxxxx or employee concerned, provided that each has obtained approval from their for the time required to deal with the complaint or grievance.   • Intellectual Property Rights shall have the meaning ascribed to such term in Section 3.1(p).

  • Commissioner means the commissioner of insurance.

  • Client means the Project lead of technical wing of the Purchaser for whose’ particular project the Goods / Services have been procured or any other person, duly appointed in writing, by the Client, for the time being or from time to time, to act as Client for the purposes of the Contract.

  • Personal Information means information identifiable to any person, including, but not limited to, information that relates to a person’s name, health, finances, education, business, use or receipt of governmental services or other activities, addresses, telephone numbers, Social Security Numbers, driver license numbers, other identifying numbers, and any financial identifiers.

  • Intellectual Property the collective reference to all rights, priorities and privileges relating to intellectual property, whether arising under United States, multinational or foreign laws or otherwise, including copyrights, copyright licenses, patents, patent licenses, trademarks, trademark licenses, technology, know-how and processes, and all rights to xxx at law or in equity for any infringement or other impairment thereof, including the right to receive all proceeds and damages therefrom.

  • Grievance means a dispute arising out of the interpretation, application, administration or alleged violation of the terms of this Agreement.

  • S&P means Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services, a division of The XxXxxx-Xxxx Companies, Inc. and any successor thereto.

  • Customer means the State agency or other entity identified in a contract as the party to receive commodities or contractual services pursuant to a contract or that orders commodities or contractual services via purchase order or other contractual instrument from the Contractor under the Contract. The “Customer” may also be the “Buyer” as defined in the PUR 1001 if it meets the definition of both terms.

  • Personnel means persons hired by the Consultant or by any Subconsultant as employees and assigned to the performance of the Services or any part thereof;

  • Personal Data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘data subject’); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person;

  • Subcontractor means any supplier, distributor, vendor, or firm that furnishes supplies or services to or for a prime contractor or another subcontractor.

  • Laws means, collectively, all international, foreign, Federal, state and local statutes, treaties, rules, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, codes and administrative or judicial precedents or authorities, including the interpretation or administration thereof by any Governmental Authority charged with the enforcement, interpretation or administration thereof, and all applicable administrative orders, directed duties, requests, licenses, authorizations and permits of, and agreements with, any Governmental Authority, in each case whether or not having the force of law.

  • Confidential Information has the meaning set forth in Section 6.1.

  • Site means the place or places where the permanent Works are to be carried out including workshops where the same is being prepared.

  • Local content means that portion of the bidding price which is not included in the imported content provided that local manufacture does take place.

  • coercive practice means harming or threatening to harm, directly or indirectly, persons or their property to influence their participation in the procurement process or affect the execution of a contract;

  • Board of Directors means the board of directors of the Company.

  • Applicable Laws means the requirements relating to the administration of equity-based awards under U.S. state corporate laws, U.S. federal and state securities laws, the Code, any stock exchange or quotation system on which the Common Stock is listed or quoted and the applicable laws of any foreign country or jurisdiction where Awards are, or will be, granted under the Plan.

  • Software means any computer software programs, including all source code, object code, and documentation related thereto and all software modules, tools and databases.

  • Contractor means the individual or entity, that has entered into this contract with the Commonwealth.

  • Supplier means the successful bidder who is awarded the contract to maintain and administer the required and specified service(s) to the State.

  • Third Party means a provider of digital educational software or services, including cloud- based services, for the digital storage, management, and retrieval of Education Records and/or Student Data, as that term is used in some state statutes. However, for the purpose of this DPA, the term “Third Party” when used to indicate the provider of digital educational software or services is replaced by the term “Provider.” EXHIBIT “D” DIRECTIVE FOR DISPOSITION OF DATA Provider to dispose of data obtained by Provider pursuant to the terms of the Service Agreement between LEA and Provider. The terms of the Disposition are set forth below:

  • Licensee has the meaning set forth in the preamble.

  • Manufacture means the production of products in a factory using labour, materials, components and machinery and includes other related value-adding activities.

  • Shares means the shares of Common Stock issued or issuable to each Purchaser pursuant to this Agreement.
