SA Health definition

SA Health means the South Australian public health system, services, and agencies, comprising the DHA, its LHNs, and the South Australian Ambulance Service (SAAS). Schedule means the schedules to this SLA. Service Level Agreement (SLA) means this SLA, including the schedules in annexures, as amended from time to time. South Australia Ambulance Service (SAAS) means the agency acting as the principal provider of ambulance services in South Australia. Tier 1 Key Performance Indicators (Tier 1 KPIs) are critical system markers which operate as intervention triggers. This means that underperformance triggers immediate attention, analysis of the cause of deviation, and consideration of the need for intervention. This provides an early warning system to enable appropriate intervention as a performance issue arises within critical performance areas. Tier 2 Performance Indicators are used as supporting indicators to assist in providing context to Tier 1 KPIs when triggered within a specific domain. Service Measures are identified to assist the organisation to improve provision of safe and efficient patient care and to provide further contextual information against which to assess performance.
