Start of Employment definition

Start of Employment means the first day the employee performed work for the employer.
Start of Employment means the day employment activities begin. For example, the “start of employment” can include, but is not limited to, the Employee’s first day of training or performing job duties. (See Saint Paul, Minnesota, Municipal Ordinances §224A.02 and §224A.06.)

Examples of Start of Employment in a sentence

  • This requirement for eligibility may be satisfied by work that is performed in any location (i.e. within or outside of Cook County) and during any 120-day period after the employee’s Start of Employment.

  • The authorization shall lay down the conditions for opening and managing the customs warehouse.(3) The authorization shall be granted only to local persons.

  • Start of Employment: The effective date of your employment will be October 16,1998.

  • Start of Employment Your approved, unpaid personal leave of absence, commencing on February 1, 1999 and ending on February 8, 1999 will not result in an adjustment to your original hire date.

  • contract of employment means a contract of service or apprenticeship, whether express or implied, and (if it is express) whether oral or in writing;

  • Termination of Employment means that the Executive ceases to be employed by the Company for any reason, voluntary or involuntary, other than by reason of a leave of absence approved by the Company.

  • Place of employment means an enclosed area under the control of a public or private employer that employees normally frequent during the course of employment, including, but not limited to, work areas, private offices, employee lounges, restrooms, conference rooms, meeting rooms, classrooms, employee cafeterias, hallways, and vehicles. A private residence is not a "place of employment" unless it is used as a child care, adult day care, or health care facility;

  • Employment means any occupation, vocation or employment, or any form of vocational or educational training. Provided, however, that "employment" shall not, for the purposes of this article, include membership in any law enforcement agency.

  • the Executive means the Health and Safety Executive;

  • Executive means the individual named in the first paragraph of this Agreement.

  • Employee means any person, including Officers and Directors, employed by the Company or any Parent or Subsidiary of the Company. Neither service as a Director nor payment of a director’s fee by the Company will be sufficient to constitute “employment” by the Company.
